Untamed Only In Wild Soon…
With Rebellion release on the horizon we had word that Untamed cards would no longer go allowed in modern and that the cards will only be allowed in wild. This is a significant shift due in part that there are players who play Untamed will now resort to only allowed to play in a league plague with bots.
It may also have drawn down the prices of Untamed as they will be restricted in its use. It’s worth noting all Splinterlands cards have slight drop to significant drop in recent days. This may likely be due to more demand for DEC for preparation of Rebellion. In any case it seems there is more pain for long term holders than ideal.
This begs the question moving forward will we continue to push off series of cards out of modern league in order to fulfill a certain player demand that only cards that are easily assessable to all can be used in majority of battles?
With alpha and beta restricted in wild and soon to be untamed it leaves me to wonder in future how many are willing to hold cards long term when they no longer are allowed in modern league?
Some have proposed the resolution of banning all bots from play making it a more real player to player experience in wild. While others have mentioned further breakout of divisions so that untamed can remain relevant.
I don’t see how this benefits long term holders of the cards as the demand for them falls if they no longer are eligible for play in their respective leagues. I know legacy holders have reap the most benefits from past experiences but now that Splinterlands has expanded it maybe beneficial to still find ways to make long term players committed to holding.
Land 1.5 has been as significant reason why I am holding my cards but as the days passes and seeing value of existing cards drop it is a difficult pull to swallow.
Without ranting too much my conviction still exceeds my negative feelings towards what will happen to Untamed. However this has left me doubtful in trying to build up my Chaos deck as I feel it too will see the same fate of being limited to wild league only in the future if and when Splinterlands expands further.

It's a tough market and I do expect untamed to drop down in price after they get removed from modern. I don't know if I will even have the funds for rebellion so I am not sure if I will move over to wild or stay in modern. I guess having my chaos legion decent might help me. I still think bots/battle helpers are still there even after the bans/ToS changes.
Looking ahead worrisome older sets are pushed off as its limited in supply. Hoping there is enough incentives to keep holding them cards. !WINE
Untamed has been in modern far too long. I say good riddance! We'll finally have a fair playing field without any card (excluding a few promo cards) that aren't absurdly expensive and very scarce in modern.
Eventually, as the game grows, I do believe we'll need a new format to play some but not all older cards. Maybe when the next core set is released, we can have an Extended format that includes 4 core sets instead of just 2.
The way we see that many new changes are being made and we want them to be good and interesting for the users so that even the old users can come back to this game again.
