The River Nymph Challenge!

Every week, @splinterlands posts a challenge for players to post about their battle, using a specific card or splinter. This week’s challenge, is to use River Nymph!

Ruleset

All monsters have the extra armor, and only even mana monsters may be used! Mana is capped at 48!

So, here was the team I put together:

Since, River Nymph is a Water Monster, I began by choosing my water summoner. I picked, Alric Stormbringer- a powerful Water Summoner! Alric is at level 4 and adds an attack stat to each friendly magic monster!!

The oldest ΛZMΛRÉan Summoner, Alric Stormbringer, founded the modern arts of Chaos Magic. He has many pupils from around the Splinterlands. Alric’s gift is not so much bringing the storm, but channeling it. He has lived for hundreds of years, and some stories claim he was alive before the Splintering.

I was already feeling quite confident, but let’s get to my monster line-up!

My Monster Lineup

In my tank position, I chose "The Kraken!" This card is by far my favorite tank! It has great attack, speed, health and armor! The health and armor is really what puts it over as a great tank. In addition, all enemy Monsters target this Monster (if they are able to)- the taunt ability allows its teammates to pummel the enemy.

PHANTOM OF THE ABYSS followed. I just love this card, and it has some pretty good stats. And since it's a water monster, it gets a buff from the Summoner. It's flying ability, helps it evade enemy attack, and it's dodge ability increases its chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.

I then chose, Wave Brood! The reason I chose this card was for its awesome health, and it's taunt ability. It makes the enemy focus their attack on this card while the others focus on killing the enemy team.

Sea Stalker was chosen to be in fourth position. It has an awesome range attack and some really great abilities. Snipe Targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position, and This Monster cannot be targeted for attacks unless it's in the first position. (Camouflage)

River Nymph was chosen to be in fifth position. I honestly don't remember ever using this card, but chose it here because of the challenge. It's actually a pretty nice card. Its Cleanse ability
Removes all negative effects on the Monster in the first position on the friendly team.

IGOR DARKSPEAR, anchored the team. I chose this card for no other reason, then it fit perfectly into my mental limit. It's a great two mana card that I have never used before. Maybe I'll start using this card more often!

My battle went 9 rounds, and I only lost two monsters. It was a great match. I was very happy with the team I assembled, and was very pleased with my victory ✌🏽
