Reached my SPS goal today! Looking for suggestions on the next step.
I have been building my SPS stake for a year now with a goal of 100,000.
Today, I reached my goal.
I will put this in the win column, even though I expected the value of the SPS to be much higher when I started a year ago. Most of my SPS goal is a result of owning cards during the last airdrop. Knowing that the bulk of the 100,000 of SPS was the result of gifting from Splinterlands helps soften the pain of the drop in value of SPS.
Card values have also taken a hit, but not at the same level as SPS in the last year. But let's get past the pain, and celebrate the milestone.
100,000 SPS generates a daily return of about $4 in GLX, SPS and vouchers.
What should I do with that daily dividend payment?
Option 1: Move it to HBD which is paying 20% interest and continues to maintain $1 value per 1 HBD.
Option 2: Buy land plots. It will take half a year to save up enough in dividend income to buy a plot at the current cost of $138 a plot. Maybe store the dividends in HBD for a half year and then buy plots?
Option 3: Buy more SPS. That will generate more GLX, SPS and vouchers, but all of those are declining assets.
Option 4: Buy some cards to play Splinterlands more often. Card values have been on a drop, but Chaos should be sold out this year. More cards to play could be a time sink. Game rewards seem to be less valuable lately.
Option 5: Convert SPS dividend to Hive and power up more Hive. Somewhat speculative, but Hive should rebound right? And if it doesn't rebound, then I will be dollar cost averaging the purchase of more Hive. The extra HP will return some dividend in curation rewards.
Option 6: Liquidity pools have high APR. Since I am receiving SPS and Vouchers as dividends, I could put those in a pool. The highest paying pool is PKM/SPS. The people at @peakmonsters are doing a great job for cardholders. Adding to the PKM liquidity pool will result in DEC, SPS and I think PKM rewards.
What suggestions do you have for the $4 a day in dividends from staking 100,000 SPS?
I remain bullish on Splinterlands. I think the game has long-term legs to outrun the bear market for both players and investors. That said, always remember Free advice is worth what you paid for it!

Congratulations! That's a big accomplishment! If it were me I would lean toward the liquidity pool. Although I don't have any land so that might be worth it long term... maybe. HBD pays twenty percent, but you could probably do better in the liquidity pool with the only downside is the possibility of impermanent loss. Tough call, I'd do liquidity though.

Good advice. I like the PKM/SPS and the SPS/Voucher pools. Both have high APRs. PKM pays out in five different rewards
Glad to know you can achieve your goal. Yeah you are absolutely right price sps is going down because of bear market. In the end of the bear market every back on his position. I also bullish on play to earn model. Every reward token going up incoming bull market. I personally think staking is better than all. Thanks for sharing.

Big congratulation to you my dear friend for reaching your goal 1 lakh SPS staking. Although its price is slight down but it cannot be remain in same position. In initial time it's price was near about $1 so we can hope to reach it again at this price. Recently I too purchased SPS worth 660 Hive. I think it is a good time to deposit some SPS in wallet.

If you stake the SPS, you receive GLX from the Genesis League. Make sure to claim your GLX.
I know there are near about 246 GLX but till now I have not claimed it.. Recently it's price was also pretty good..

I benefit when you increase HP) But it's better to accumulate more SPS - this is the best option.
I will accumulate more SPS. I think I will put most of it in liquidity pools. I am working on a different way to increase HP. I think supporting good content creators is important.
The SWAP.HIVE/SPS pool has a good percentage, 52%. I put coins in it. I think to increase the volume there several times, up to $5-10k. In a bull market, this pool will rise in price by 5 times. Plus, on pumps, it will be possible to temporarily exit HIVE.

Pool unlock. Selling HIVE on the pump. A few days later, buying HIVE at a cheaper price. Creating a new SWAP.HIVE/SPS pool.

Congratulations, that's my goal also. I'm at 16k atm. As for the option you should take i say: Buy hbd! Build a steady reliable passive income stream, with less risk invloved.
That 20 percent looks very sweet. After a year of watching Hive drop and drop, HBD stability is important.
