My financial independence story - Crypto adventures - 2024 - Week 7 (Saturday Savers edition)
So, 2024, as a new year. Big plans. I managed to divided into 4 sections, Plan A related to Hive and Leo, where the main focus will be. Than the Plan B, different key numbers for tokens that either drip or pay, mostly Hive, but few others too, if they have a good APR. Plan C following, mostly related to some layer 2 Hive tokens, that I use for curations or gaming, aswell all Splinterlands related stuff, cards upgrades and active land, SPS and SPT. And the last one, Plan D, cryptocurrencies I would like to have outside Hive, containing a little retirement nest, with stablecoins, shares, cash and some other crypto. So, let's start with the numbers:
Plan A - Hive and LEO
- Hive account 1 - used mainly for Splinterlands related stuff, and curation - 59826/55600 Hive, target completed, as I became an Orca in February, and also to do monthly Power-ups - 2/12.
- Hive account 2 - used to write, mostly poetry, with at least one weekly big post about crypto-market, with 2315/2500 Hive and 1056/1200 HBD.
- Hive account 3 - experimental account - want to reach 550 Hive and 50 HBD.
- LEO - 31530/35000 and 2/12 LEO Power-ups.

This week two major targets were achieved, Hive Orca achievement with more than 55K Hive and the liquidity that I wanted to provide on Across Protocol on both ETH and stablecoins.
So, what is the plan? The main priority is to achieve more Hive, with Leo secondary. Then, some drip tokens providing, guess what, more Hive (mostly). The third section is mostly made from tokens used either for curation or gaming, with land and cards needed to be upgraded on Splinterlands. The fourth part is what I call a future next egg, starting to build my emergent financial independence plan. That's all folks, simple and elegant!

Looks like you are making nice progress here @mightyrocklee. I like how you have chosen to break out your savings objections into 4 different "plans."
For my savings objectives, I particularly like your Plan B and D details, as that is where I am currently focusing a lot of my attention.

Sounds good! I know there are a lot of gamers "in here" and we can all appreciate Splinterlands' role in bringing (making an assumption here, since I am not one ...) a considerable number of "eyes" into our Hive blockchain. 👍

"Plan D" is where I personally spend most of my time. These new "virtual worlds" are vast outside of Hive and continuing to advance at rates that are mind-numbing ... I make a steady effort to at least have some idea about what is going on "out there," while not pretending that I can do it as effectively as I might wish ...
I see you are doing quite well with the drip tokens. What are INCOME and ECOBANK rewards?
The hardest think that I learn in my many years in crypto is to focus on the 20% of the work that is bringing 80% of the rewards, and try to ignore the rest of 80% that brings the 20% of income. Not enough time for everything.
They are both backed by an OG prolific content creator (amongst other things) on our Hive blockchain - ecoinstant. A native American, he lives down in Colombia and has all sorts of income-producing ventures.
INCOME - His version of an investment token, somewhat like SPI. One major difference? He supports an LP, so anyone can get out, if so desired ...
ECOBANK - A "share" token, representing a "real world" investment he is making in land development down in the area around him. He is very passionate about permaculture, among other aspects of trying to working on steadily improving conditions down there ...
Like many on our Hive blockchain, he is a very interesting person. And I have found him to be very trustworthy.
