RE: POSH Updates: New front-ends eligible for POSH rewards, new curation of @poshtoken comments and the posts being shared active effective immediately

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

I just found out today (I know, a bit late to the party) that the post creator doesn't receive any posh tokens anymore but instead someone who shares it on Twitter... However, when I look here at your latest post on Hive then I can see numerous creators who post their own and receive the rewards for it. Can you explain to me where the difference lies in those cases? Are they doing something I've missed somehow?

It was always about who shared it but it just so happens that most people share their own posts on twitter of course. You earn posh depending on how well the tweet does, no matter your own or other people's posts. You can also earn Hive if the comment gets upvoted but there we prefer people not to selfvote their own shares in an attempt for others to reward you for sharing their post instead.

Let me know if that cleared any confusion.

OK, I think I get it now. If I'm not on top of all things Hive for a week, I feel like I've missed a year in college LOL. Thank you for taking time to explain it to me. I appreciate that.

No worries, we're adding a landing page with a quick explainer to hiveposh.com soon and a redesign so look back in the near future. :)

Oh, that sounds good. I definitely will keep an eye on new developments from now on. (*putting hiveposh.com on my list of things to keep an eye on, haha) Thanks again.
