Greetings friends! On this occasion I have created a digital illustration inspired by the card called: Vampiric Blossom

What I really loved about this card was the lore they gave to the character, as I find it quite fascinating and terrifying. So I have left them below in case you like to read it.

Lo que realmente me encantó de esta carta ha sido el lore que le han dado al personaje, ya que me parece bastante fascinante y aterrador. Asi que se los he dejado más abajo por si gustan leerlo.

Vampiric Blossom

Vampiric blossoms thrive in dense jungle and tropical environments. Vampires enjoy using them as a way to easily catch prey around their manors. These plants have a thirst for blood that has led many unwary travelers to their death.

Vampiric blossoms shoot small darts from inside their petals. These darts embed into the skin of their prey and stun them. Once their prey is down, the vines of these plants slither out to draw the body close. The plant will drink up the blood for nutrients. If there is a cluster of vampiric blossoms in one location, they may drink a body dry within an hour.
I fear I will not make it back home. This jungle is much more hostile than we'd anticipated. At night, shadows lurk and howls are heard. It is hard to get any sleep. We saw a castle nestled along the side of a mountain. No one goes to or from it, and yet at night we see lights flickering in the windows. It is enough to drive even our rational minds mad.

The daylight, however, brings little reprieve. There is a flower here that is beautiful to the eye but deadly in proximity. I saw my fellow scholar, Jonathan, impacted by a dart shot from this flower's mouth. No sooner had he collapsed than vines rushed from the blossom and dragged him toward it. Myself and Annalise tried to free him. Annalise went down to another blossom, this one growing as part of a cluster on a ravine. I was barely able to get away, and I watched in horror as, like vampires, the flora drank the blood of my fellow scholars.

I hide now in our makeshift camp. I have burned away every plant within a radius. It is not enough, though, is it? Those vines could reach far. I am not safe.

I am not safe.

Flores Vampíricas

Las flores vampíricas prosperan en la densa jungla y en ambientes tropicales. Los vampiros disfrutan usándolos como una forma de atrapar presas fácilmente en sus mansiones. Estas plantas tienen una sed de sangre que ha llevado a la muerte a muchos viajeros desprevenidos.

Las flores vampíricas disparan pequeños dardos desde el interior de sus pétalos. Estos dardos se incrustan en la piel de sus presas y las aturden. Una vez que su presa ha caído, las enredaderas de estas plantas se deslizan para acercar el cuerpo. La planta beberá la sangre en busca de nutrientes. Si hay un grupo de flores vampíricas en un lugar, pueden beber un cuerpo seco en una hora.
Temo no poder regresar a casa. Esta jungla es mucho más hostil de lo que habíamos previsto. Por la noche, las sombras acechan y se escuchan aullidos. Es difícil conciliar el sueño. Vimos un castillo enclavado en la ladera de una montaña. Nadie va ni sale de allí y, sin embargo, por la noche vemos luces parpadeando en las ventanas. Es suficiente para volver loca incluso a nuestras mentes racionales.

La luz del día, sin embargo, no trae ningún respiro. Aquí hay una flor que es hermosa a la vista pero mortal en proximidad. Vi a mi compañero de estudios, Jonathan, impactado por un dardo disparado desde la boca de esta flor. Tan pronto como se desplomó, las enredaderas brotaron de la flor y lo arrastraron hacia ella. Annalise y yo intentamos liberarlo. Annalise bajó a otra flor, esta creciendo como parte de un racimo en un barranco. Apenas pude escapar y observé con horror cómo, como vampiros, la flora bebía la sangre de mis compañeros de estudios.

Ahora me escondo en nuestro campamento improvisado. He quemado todas las plantas en un radio. Pero no es suficiente, ¿verdad? Esas enredaderas podrían llegar muy lejos. No estoy a salvo.

Process | Proceso

Good! Since we know a little about the character, let's go to the creative part, as I mentioned before the illustration of Vampiric Blossom was made using digital media, digital art, this time I didn't do a pixel art as usual, so getting out of the routine a little I made a fairly conventional illustration. Starting from the creation of a sketch in which I adapt the character to my style.

¡Bien! Ya que conocemos un poco del personaje, vamos a la parte creativa, como mencioné anteriormente la ilustración de Vampiric Blossom fué hecha usando medios digitales, arte digital, esta vez no hice un pixel art como de costumbre, asi qué saliendo un poco de la rutina hice una ilustración bastante convencional. Partiendo de la creación de un boceto en el cual adapto al personaje a mi estilo.

For coloring I used most of the colors from the color palette of the original character and the coloring process was not anything different from my previous publications, since I usually follow the same coloring pattern, which consists of applying the base color and Other layers I apply shading and lighting.

Para el coloreado utilicé la mayoria de colores de la paleta de colores del personaje original y el proceso de coloreado no fué algo diferente a mis publicaciones anteriores, ya que habitualmente sigo el mismo patrón de coloreado, que consiste en la aplicacion del color base y en otras capas aplico el sombreado y la iluminación.
