Greetings friends! The fan art that I come to present to you today is inspired by a card called Queen of Crows
¡Saludos amigos! El fan art que vengo a presentarles hoy está inspirado en una carta llamada Queen of Crows
Born Marissa Maewyn in a small village on the outskirts of Lyveria on the continent of Anumun, the Queen of Crows has had the power to speak to and control crows even as a child. Others ostracized her for her unusual ability, and she grew up an outcast. Her crows were her only companions, and she used them to defend herself against those who sought to harm her because they feared what she could do.
She spent her adolescence in study of the dark arts and became enthralled with Alturia Dragonforth, the Dark Enchantress and Lagfael's Queen, who originally hailed from nearby Lyveria. In time, Marissa's enthrallment turned to envy. She fantasized about journeying to Mortis, replacing the Dark Enchantress, and joining with the Lord of Darkness in an unholy union.
As her power grew, so did the townsfolk's fear, and one night, a mob of them broke into her home. Her parents were killed defending her, and in her rage and sorrow, Marissa commanded her crows to slay those responsible... along with everyone else in the village.
Afterward, she traveled across the seas to Beluroc on the continent of Mortis. Here, she consolidates her power and aids the Dark Eternals in their quest to bring the world to the one true darkness. She works diligently and quietly, all the while attempting to gain the attention and favor of the Lord of Darkness and realize her ambition of ruling at his side.
“Marissa, have mercy!” he screamed as the crows fell upon him, a whirlwind of caws and black feathers.
“Mercy?” Marissa laughed. “My children will pluck your eyes from your head to spare you the sight of them feasting on your flesh. That's the only mercy you'll get from the Queen of Crows.”
Nacida como Marissa Maewyn en un pequeño pueblo en las afueras de Lyveria en el continente de Anumun, la Reina de los Cuervos ha tenido el poder de hablar y controlar a los cuervos incluso cuando era niña. Otros la condenaron al ostracismo por su inusual habilidad y ella creció como una marginada. Los cuervos de ella eran sus únicos compañeros, y los usaba para defenderse de aquellos que buscaban hacerle daño porque temían lo que ella podía hacer.
Pasó su adolescencia estudiando las artes oscuras y quedó cautivada por Alturia Dragonforth, la Hechicera Oscura y la Reina de Lagfael, que originalmente provenía de la cercana Lyveria. Con el tiempo, el embeleso de Marissa se convirtió en envidia. Fantaseaba con viajar a Mortis, reemplazar a la Hechicera Oscura y unirse al Señor de las Tinieblas en una unión impía.
A medida que su poder crecía, también crecía el miedo que la gente del pueblo le tenía, y una noche, una turba de ellos irrumpió en su casa. The illustration of this character was made using digital media, digital art and consists of a beautiful girl, with violet hair, wearing a sorceress hat and holding a crow on her shoulder.
La ilustración de este personaje fué hecho usando medios digitales, arte digital y consiste en una hermosa chica, de cabello violeta, con un gorro de hechicera y sosteniendo un cuervo en su hombro.
As I mentioned before, to create this fan art I used the Queen of Crows card from Splinterlands as a reference, so to create the sketch I took some characteristic elements of the character, without leaving aside the incorporation of a crow, since it is a fundamental piece in the character's lore.
Como mencioné anteriormente, para la realización de este fan art usé como referencia la carta Queen of Crows de Splinterlands, asi que para la creación del boceto tomé algunos elementos caracteristicos del personaje, sin dejar a un lado la incorporación de un cuervo, ya que es una pieza fundamental en el lore del personaje.
The rest of the creative process consisted of the application of a color base, continuing with the shading and then the lighting, all this was applied in parts, first of all I worked on everything that was the coloring of the face and the rest of the skin, then color the hair, the hat, the clothes and finally the crow.
El resto del proceso creativo consistió en la aplicación de una base de color, siguiendo con el sombreado y posteriormente la iluminación, todo esto fué aplicado por partes, primero que nada trabajé todo los que fué el coloreado del rostro y el resto de la piel, luego coloree el cabello, el sombrero, la ropa y por ultimo el cuervo.
