Without a doubt, life is a school unto itself, full with interesting experiences and lessons that mold us into the people we are today. Friendship is one of the most important things in life that has a big impact on our growth as individuals.

Our social life frequently focus around our friendships, which give us company, support, and a feeling of identity. But managing friendships can be exciting as well as difficult at times, needing us to work through a variety of deep conversations, feelings, and expectations. There are three important lessons I would impart to my younger self if I could travel back in time and give her advise on how to build lasting connections.

Above all, I would tell my younger self that in terms of friendships, quality matters more than number. When we're younger, we frequently want to make as many friends as we can and expand our circle of friends. But as we get older, we learn that a small number of deep, meaningful friendships are far more meaningful than a large number of short relationships.

It is important that we place a high value on the quality of our friendships, concentrating on developing close, lasting relationships with people who actually care about our welfare and who encourage and support us. These real connections are the ones that will last and give us constant backing as we face the highs and lows of life.

Secondly, I would stress how important it is for friends to respect and value one another. Friendship is a mutually beneficial relationship that demands time, effort, and respect from both sides. Building friendships where both parties feel appreciated, listened, and supported is important.

These relationships should be founded on mutual respect, trust, and understanding. In order for a friendship to be healthy, there must be a fair exchange of contributions from both parties in meaningful ways. Setting limits in friendships and having honest, open communication about our needs, expectations, and boundaries are also essential. Building healthy and rewarding friendships requires that partners respect one another's limits and are aware of one another's emotions.

Finally, I would advise the younger version of myself to value friendships that are genuine and honest. Since it enables us to be open and real with our friends, honesty is essential to building real connections with people.

We may bring closeness, kindness, and emotional support into our relationships by being honest about our concerns, insecurities, and challenges with trustworthy friends. Being open shows our courage and sincerity rather than being a sign of weakness. Friendships can be strengthened and deepened by being honest with one another. It also creates a comfortable environment for candid and meaningful interactions.

To sum up, friendship is an important and enjoyable part of life that offers a great deal of happiness, companionship, and support. I've learned to value the positive effects of genuine, helpful, and reciprocating friendships by thinking back on my own experiences and advising my younger self on how to manage friendships.

Building deep and lasting friendships requires valuing quality above quantity, emphasizing loyalty and respect for one another, and accepting openness and honesty. Let us treasure and build relationships that better our lives and help us become better versions of ourselves as we go through the life's school.
