Like Death splinter doesn't have bad enough cards, Carrion Shade comes in. Not like Thaddius Brood is bad, but Carrion Shade does so little in the current meta. Besides being a cheap mana card, it's not useful enough to be placed in lineups. Yes for those who doesn't have Furious Chicken or Corpse Fiend, this is can be your initial damage absorber. But with many low mana and better skills monsters in Death splinter, you'll get to realise Carrion Shade is junk.

Ruleset: Reverse Speed & Stampede

Expected Earth splinter magic spam with Reverse Speed since it contains many low mana magic monsters.

• Thaddius Brood to reduce magic intake.
• Carrion Shade absorbs initial damage.
• Bone Golem with Void tanks the magic damage.
• Furious Chicken in front to tank Opportunity/Snipe attacks.
• Two 1 speed Opportunity monsters since I was aiming for backline.
• Halfling Alchemist at the last to tank Sneak attacks.

Finally, after burning 20% Energy Capture Rate, Carrion Shade was in a position to contribute in battle. Ok bird here's your compliment, what other 1 mana damage absorber can I use other than you. 🖤
