When it comes to countering magic, Earth, Water, and Death splinter comes to mind.

A monster with a high HP Void tank is often neglected, which is Tusk the Wide from Fire splinter. With 12 HP and Void, but only 1 melee damage, it serves mostly as a meaty magic tank while its backline deals necessary damage. This is more towards an offensive lineup where you try to eliminate enemy healers/backline as fast as possible.

Ruleset: Reverse Speed

The opponent used Obsidian summoner for +1 magic damage as expected but it will take him up to round 2 before my tank falls. So round 1 is the golden window to eliminate opponent's backline. The ruleset favored me since my monsters were mostly 1 speed and they get to attack first.

The cards I used in battles can mostly be rented for less than 1 DEC (Splinterlands currency) which is USD 0.0036. All prices are taken at the moment as of this post.

In any way, my Halfling Alchemist would not have been necessary for the victory of this battle. Oops I won? Cos I never post losing battles.. (yet). 🤭
