Splinterlands - Day 1

Here we go! After RisingStar, Splinterlands!
The spellbook unlocks the rewards, basically you get nothing without it. Then it's pretty fun to collect cards, but some are crazy expensive

It's great to see that you have joined Splinterlands. I believe it's a very good moment to start the game because the entry costs (price of cards) is pretty low at the moment.

Some time ago, I created a free online course how to get started in Splinterlands. It explains the basics and, even if it's not totally up to date, it can help you to progress.

Nice to see you playing Splinterlands Steve, and as others said you need the Spellbook to earn, just watch out so you don't spend all the time playing though, it is quite addictive and it takes time.

You need the spellbook buddy or you do not get rewards, it is basically the entry fee. I am not very good at the game but from what i have learned you need a good summoner and some decent playing cards.
I am sure you will get better info from others 🤣

It took me a while to learn the basics of the game and I still haven't mastered them very well, I'm still trying, any tips that work for me, I'll let you know.

The lower levels are fairly tough. If you get delegated a few cards from other people that will make it easier. If a total beginner then I would suggest that you use a little of the 3000 credits that you get from purchasing the spell book to rent a few cards.
Each of the standard cards(free) you use will reduce your earnings. At the beginning it probably isn't that important.(others would disagree) I would suggest that you rent 1 or two level 1 summoners at .1dec/day. (Probably Kelya Frendul and Obsidian) and play a few matches. See what cards you like to use and rent those if they are around .1 dec/day. ECR Energy Capture Rate reduces about 1% per battle and regains 1% per hour. So roughly 24 battles per day to keep it from reducing your earning much. Write down what beats you and if the same mana requirement battle happen again use that lineup.
