My 2nd Chaos Legion most favourite summoner: Immortalis

Previously, I have shared that my number 1 Chaos Legion Summoner is Rathe with deadly combo of double revive + repair.

Today, I am gonna share with you my 2nd most favourite summoner and it is Immortalis.

To be honest, at one look Immortalis does not look amazing cause it seems very defensive. It gives a -1health to opponent, void to the whole team mates so they are more tanky to magic and shatter to remove shield.

Now, let's have a look at one of the ways of how immortalis can be used.

In this battle, one of the rule is magic reflect.

Strategy 1

So naturally, it is quite common to avoid using magic creatures, and it should also understandable that people would hardly focus on magic defense. So making use of this mindset, i purposely choose immortalis as it give void to significantly reduce the magic reflect damage. As such, i would be able to form a strong magic team.

Strategy 2

With high speed, Peryton will always be the 1st or 2nd to attack, and often removing the tanker all their armor. This can make super tanker become very weak suddenly, like Diemonshark, Uriel and Alvar where they rely on their armor heavily.

Strategy 3

Florre combo insanely well with Immortalis. First, florre will always first attack with magic and that will shatter any armor that the front creature has, letting it vunlerable for the 2nd incoming range attack of 4 damage. So even if the front creature has void or shield, it will suffer at least 5 damage. With that, you can see that their diemonshark is already dying at the start of round 2 while our onxy still have quite good hp.

Strategy 4

Another crucial strategy for equalizer is to have triage and tank heal skill in the team, especially for high mana. As you can see here, creature is having 16 hp and each heal is at least 5 hp. So you can see that I am using goblin psychic and queen mycelic for their tank heal and triage. As you can see that despite my team has quite weak fire power and opponent has superior attack power, my team still can survive quite a number of rounds against the opponent.

Strategy 5

In round 4, you can see that our fire power quite low and baakjira can tank quite well especially against my 3 magic creature. That is why seedsmith is quite crucial here. Instead of waiting for the afflicaton to come into action which may takes like 3-5 turns, seedsmith is able to deal quite a good amount of damage and even poison the tanker which reduce the hp even faster. Another key strategy for using seedsmith is the scavenger as it can most likely grow to more than 20 hp which can actually be a good tanker to defence the last person: florre to fire its crazy dps. Pf course, the most disadvantage of seedsmith is that it started off with low hp which was actually being removed by the match rule equaliser.

With so many strategy in place, you can see that the team is tanking quite well even for weak creature like queen mycelic. And as you know that Dr Blight is quite strong with its skill combo, you can see that it is actually quite useless here. With the silence skill, dr blight can only deal one magic damage, and the void even make it deal zero damage. so only strength it has left with are the afflication and posion but you can see that seedsmith and goblin psychic is a way better combi than dr blight.

Needless to say, at the start of round 6, you can expect a comfortable win for me.

Review

This is just one way of playing immortalis summoner. There is other ways that immortalis excel in like wand out match rule. It is insanely dangerous to Rathe as it can make the void tank ability almost useless with the shatter skill.
Technically void is a defensive skill for your team to tank well against magic line up. Yet, in this case, void is actually use as an offensive play where it allows you to use a powerful magic lineup even during magic reflection rule.

Note

I also know about the recent release Lily ShieldPaw which can change the meta especially for modern format. I still unable to experiment with lily as i need to buy more copies of lily in order to max the level before I can play in diamond/champion league. However, I have a feeling that Lily is able to change my preference for the top few choices on Chaos Legion summoners.
