Splinterlands and repairing the outside lamp - My Actifit Report Card: December 13 2025

In the morning I did a lot of splinterlands related things and after this I walked to visit my mom and back.

When I got home the sun was shining and it was good to be outside so I decided today is a good day for some pruning in the garden and repair one of the outside lights, after a couple of years doing its job, it didn't turn off anymore, I fixed this a couple of times but this time nothing worked and on the Internet I found many people have the same issue with this lamp model, the infra red sensor is the problem.

So I had two options, buy a new lamp complete with a new sensor built in or mount a separate sensor on the wall I still had new in the box, I decided to choose the latter since it's free, the only work was to drill a couple of holes and redo the wiring inside the problematic lamp.

This is a job most people can do I think with some logic thinking, I removed the wires including the sensor to instead go straight from the light bulb.

After a stupid mistake, switching around the two brown wires, or maybe it's red... I'm slightly color blind 🤣 I was wondering why the..... the lamp didn't turn off, exactly the same problem to start with but I simply switched around the powered line that was supposed to go to the new sensor first, instead it went straight to the bulb, no wonder it didn't turn off 👀😁

Easy fix so we have a working light again instead of one that was always on!
