Sneak Peek: CLP - Chaos Legion Promo Packs are Live!

This is sort of a pre-announcement. I'll do videos and stuff later.

As you probably know, Splinterlands is having an end of year promo sale. Like we did with XCHAOS, we are doing a tokenized pool so that everyone can join in.

Each CLP cost 2700 DEC. You don't need any vouchers, we've built that in already.

Simple steps:

  1. Have DEC in your hive-engine wallet
  2. Go to https://splinter.fi/clp and log in with keychain
  3. Click Buy CLP
  4. Pick number of tokens you want to buy (2700 each)
  5. Click Buy CLP
  6. Confirm transaction in keychain

That's it.

Ways this is different than other pools:

  • No minimum purchase. Buy as many or as few as you want. Most (all?) other pools require large purchases which are not very minnow friendly. All you need for CLP is 2700 DEC or more.
  • Auto-distribution of airdrop values. These packs are regular packs so they will be eligible for summoner airdrops. Since cards are not divisible, when we get the airdrops we sell them to the marketplace and distribute the DEC proceeds proportionally. This is the same mechanism we have used for XCHAOS and it has worked very well.
  • Runi distribution: like the airdrops, Runi are not divisible. I think we will take a vote on what to do with these, whether they are worth selling or keeping for future value.
  • Auto-refunds. If we don't reach the minimum thresholds we need all refunds will be sent automatically.

More coming later with explainer videos, but this is available now and the sooner we get up to the bulk thresholds the better.

It's great to see a minnow-friendly pool! Is the minimum threshold for the deal to go through 3500 packs, or some other number? And what will happen with the bonus packs if the gold/diamond thresholds (though that is probably a big ask haha) are reached?

Not 100% decided on what will be done with those extra bonuses at higher levels yet.

And yeah we need to have enough in the pool to hit the bulk deal thresholds, but I don't think that will be a problem.

Besides having the benefits you have exposed in this post, what will happen with the bonus packages? And also with the promotional cards? These will be sold as well, and will they distribute the proportional DEC or will they give them?

According to official information, for each package, one promotional card.

Those would be my doubts.

Each CLP you hold in your wallet will get you 1 chaos legion pack and 1 promo card. The other items you'll get a proportional DEC payout

Thank you for this. This is great for any one not in a guild trying to go for the TH level or even if they wanted to not be able to make the cut for the TH level.

Also with your standing in the community is reduces risk of people joining random group buys where they may or may not know the person.

I will be buy some tokens in a couple days!!!!

This is nice to see. I decided to get about 10 tokens with some of my GLX profits and I wonder what the promo cards will look like.

Since we are getting 1 promo with each pack, I am guessing it's going to be a common level. Hopefully more Armorsmith and less Goblin Chef

Awesome I'm a total noob to Splinterlands but I love the concept of play to earn and especially on Hive blockchain so I decided to support Splinterlands. I'm following along almost blindly, without knowing the details, intuitively seeking worthwhile investments. Let me investigate...

I'm gonna pimp this in my post I'm about to do. I've heard some people are negotiating the bonus packs for the higher tiers... So lets try to hit one of the last 2 tiers if not the last tier and maybe Neal can negotiate for some more bonus packs!!!!

Hi Neal, as we get into the first promo tranche, will we be purchasing that level right away or wait for total contributions to reach the silver and gold levels? If we wait we might be missing the upcoming water summoner airdrop.

My previous @v4vapp proposal has expired. I have a new one which is running but unfunded right now. I'm still running @v4vapp and all my other services but I may have to increase the 0.8% fee to 2.0% if I continue to be unfunded.

Please consider asking your friends to vote for prop #244 or consider unvoting the HBD stabilizer explained below.

For understandable reasons in the current crypto climate it is harder to get funded by the DHF, I accept this so I'm asking a wider audience for help again. I will also redraft this proposal with more details (coming soon). I'm also looking for other funding sources.

  1. The bar to be funded is set by the HBD Stabilizer, the more votes that has, the more votes @v4vapp needs to be funded. If you want to reconsider supporting that proposal and unvote it, that would also help me (and others so you have to weigh this choice.)
