# Ending the Year on a Low - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 38 Report Card

A busy time of year despite some time off from work had me struggle this last Season as I continue to adjust to the new meta with Rebellion around. I think I have slowly done better on not forcing the new cards but have not been able to get many streaks to help me climb the ladder. It has been frustrating that my losses hurt so much more than what I gain from wins.

As expected, my performance continues to be underwhelming as I adapt to the new cards. I think I spent too long in Wild at the beginning of the Season as I was concerned of falling below Champion and losing the chests. However, I tried to get a late push by having more energy ready but the points system continues to be the biggest challenge.

The search for the 2 elusive legendary cards needed to complete my set continues. However, I was able to get the last rare card maxed this Season which is great. I am now starting to double up on some max Commons which has me wondering what I will do with them. Land may be the right approach given how much I need to get online still.

More of my land is getting online so I have caught up again on some SPS mining which is good given the ongoing and growing utility and value at the moment. Starting to leave some liquid just in case.
It was a lackluster Season for me in many ways but it was also the Season to rest IRL so I did not mind. I am also continuing to focus on my land activities which is taking a lot of my time given the planning and strategy needed for the long term. The community seems to be excited with all the movements in the ecosystem and general market so it feels like something is brewing. I am looking forward to a much better 2024!
