The Battle.

The ruleset for this battle was:

Tis but scratches.

Only melee monsters.

Starting line-up

With only melee monsters on the field it's handy to have Drake with shield ability to protect my monster. In this you have to assume that the opponent is going to attack the rear guard with sneak ability.

That is where I aimed for with my team. Four sneak monsters with two demoralize effects from my other monsters. That should slow down their attack a bit.

They put taunt in their front line to try and counter this so it's a question of if I have enough firepower to take it down.

First kill..

First kill went to my team as my demoralize effect took the sting out of their attack.

My sneak monsters still had a lot of attack to take out their tank in round two.

Round three.

They did manage to take out my rearmost monster at the very end of round two but at this stage i had the advantage as their team was open to my sneak attacks without any shielding and their rear guard on the way out.

I took two and los tone monster in this round but now the writing is on the wall.

I'm not going to lose it from here with more monsters and stronger attack levels. It's just a matter of when it happens.

Finishing line-up.

My sand worm takes out their assassin and then after a couple of misses form my team it comes back to finish off their manticore in round five and take the victory.

A good match that was won by reducing their melee attack. That was the difference in the match.
