Here is my first entry to the Splinterlands art contest for this week. “The Venari Wavesmith”
I got this card from the quest reward and indispensable to the water team. The protect buff is helpful to make the water team stronger.

I am starting with the sketching following the reference image.

Then, paint the background color to guide the light direction and tone color.

Fill the mid-tone to the character layer.

Paint the shadow, highlight, and blend color. Use the highlight color the same way with the scene.

Paint the water effect and add the lens flare effect image on the top layer.
