Splinterlands Art Contest Week 224 | Screaming Banshee [ENG-ESP]

Hello pretty people of the internet! I hope you're having a nice day, for my part I feel excited to share with you a new drawing, especially because it's a fan art that I proposed to do a few days ago for the Splinterlands weekly art contest.
I really enjoy this kind of initiatives, I would like to participate more constantly, the experience is very interesting and it really motivates me to create new things.
The character I have chosen this week is Screaming Banshee. What attracted my attention to this character is that she is a mythological being that I was always very curious about, which led me to research about them (they are creatures that appear in the form of women nothing more) and then I started to make the sketch with the idea I had in mind not to forget her.
Shall we start with the drawing?
Process:
I imagined the figure of a woman with a worried expression, according to what I read, Banshees predict death and hear voices in their head. With a few quick strokes I tried to capture the pose of the figure and then proceeded to make the lineart trying to play with the thickness of the line and add some details about the costume.
I confess that I got excited with the coloring and forgot to take some captures of this part of the process, but don't worry I only fixed the base colors of the elements. I decided to paint the banshee's skin white to give it a ghostly look and also to keep the essence of the original drawing.
The background I kept it simple, I drew a few trees without leaves and with a very light gray color so that they also had a matching look with the banshee.
I don't think I had ever drawn with grayscale in digital before so it was something interesting and new, but I tried to solve it as best as I could by focusing on generating contrasts between the skin and the dress.
One of the things I liked the most was the hair, I love the color purple and I feel that it stands out very well with the ambience that I was creating little by little.
I added some bounce highlights on the skin and eyes, and took care of volumizing the lips and nose. At this point something that started to worry me was what I would do to hide the right hand, I didn't draw it at first because I was thinking of making the drawing bigger, but I think the size it is is fine, so at any moment I would have to finish drawing it.
I love when I'm about to finish a drawing and it's easier to decide what details to add to make it stand out, in this case, I played with the finger tool over the lines to make that effect on them, in my mind I could imagine the dress fading away and I think I achieved it with this effect.
Following the style of the original character, I decided to open a new layer above the line drawing I put it in Linear Superexposure mode (add) and painted over it with the same hair color to paint the lines and then I passed the airbrush.
As last details, I drew the shiny bracelets on each of her hands and then used the same technique as with the hair of opening a layer in Linear Superexposure (add) mode to make the purple smoke emanating from her lips and fingers, and then I also decided to add this effect at the bottom of the drawing.

¡Hola gentecita de internet! Espero que estén teniendo un lindo día, por mi parte me siento entusiasmada de compartir con ustedes un nuevo dibujo, especialmente porque es un fan art que me propuse hacer hace unos días para el concurso de arte semanal de Splinterlands.
Realmente disfruto este tipo de iniciativas, me gustaría participar de manera más constante, la experiencia es muy interesante y realmente me motiva a crear nuevas cosas.
El personaje que he escogido esta semana es Screaming Banshee. Lo que atrajo mi atención de este personaje es que es un ser mitológico por el que siempre sentí mucha curiosidad, lo que me llevó a investigar sobre ellas (son unas criaturas que se presentan en forma de mujeres nada más) y posteriormente empecé a realizar el boceto con la idea que tenía en mente para no olvidarme de ella.
¿Empezamos con el dibujo?
Proceso:
Me imaginé la figura de una mujer con una expresión de preocupación, según leí, las Banshees predicen la muerte y escuchan voces en su cabeza. Con unos trazos rápidos traté de capturar la pose de la figura y luego procedí a realizar el lineart procurando jugar con los grosores de la línea y añadir algunos detalles sobre el vestuario.
Confieso que me emocioné con el coloreado y olvidé tomar algunas capturas de esta parte del proceso, pero no se preocupen que solo fijé los colores base de los elementos. Decidí pintar la piel de la banshee blanco para darle un aspecto fantasmagórico y también para que mantuviera la esencia del dibujo original.
El fondo lo mantuve simple, dibujé unos cuantos árboles sin hojas y con un color gris muy claro para que también tuvieran un aspecto a juego con la banshee.
Creo que no había dibujado con escala de grises en digital así que fue algo interesante y nuevo, pero traté de resolverlo lo mejor que pude enfocándome en generar contrates entre la piel y el vestido.
Una de las cosas que más me gustó hacer fue el cabello, amo el color morado y siento que resalta muy bien con la ambientación que poco a poco fui creando.
Añadí algunas luces de rebote sobre la piel y los ojos, y me encargué de dar volumen a los labios y la nariz. En este punto algo que me empezó a preocupar era qué haría para ocultar la mano derecha, no la dibujé en principio porque pensaba hacer el dibujo más grande, pero creo que el tamaño que tiene está bien, así que en cualquier momento tendría que terminar de dibujarla.
Me encanta cuando estoy por acabar un dibujo y es más fácil decidir qué detalles añadir para hacerlo resaltar, en este caso, jugué con la herramienta de dedo sobre las líneas para hacer ese efecto en ellas, en mi mente podía imaginar que el vestido se desvanecía y creo que lo logré con este efecto.
Siguiendo el estilo del personaje original, decidí abrir una nueva capa por encima de la línea de dibujo la puse en modo Superexposición lineal (añadir) y pinté por encima con el mismo color de cabello para pintar las líneas y luego pasé el aerógrafo.
Como últimos detalles, dibujé los brazaletes brillantes en cada una de sus manos y luego usé la misma técnica que con el cabello de abrir una capa en modo Superexposición lineal (añadir) para hacer el humo purpura que emana de sus labios y sus dedos, y luego también decidí añadir este efecto en la parte inferior del dibujo.
