# Returned to Battling - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 9 Report Card

Another season of Splinterlands ended almost a couple weeks ago.
Last season, I did not start playing until three days before the end of the season. This was coming off of taking about a one month break from playing. So I had to work myself out of the Bronze League.
In Wild format, this was fairly easy to do. However, in Modern format I got so frustrated that I ended up renting some cards and it was still really difficult to graduate to Silver. (I normally only play with my own deck). By the time I made it Silver in Modern, my energy capture rate was at 18%. Then I drove it down to 4% to make it to Gold III in Modern. I cannot imagine what newbs go through trying to make it out of Bronze.

My win percentage was much better in Wild because I was able to breeze through the Leagues. In Modern, I got stuck in Bronze and ended up in win one battle lose one battle hell. I could never put up a good enough win streak to move up in the rankings.
