Hi SPL fam! This is my entry for this week's SPL Art Contest.

I didn’t know where Raven got the inspiration for the Splinterlands character I drew today, but when I saw this character, it reminded me of Raven, the DC Comics character. He looks somewhat similar, but of course, it’s just inspired, it’s not a direct copy.

So without further ado, the character I’m talking about is ANACHRON BOLTER, a Rare Card belonging to the life element.

The first thing I did was the outline. This character is quite detailed, so sketching took me a while. I didn’t know what his crossbow looked like, so I just had to figure out how to draw it.

Once I completed the sketch, I naturally made the final outline.

After finishing the final outline, I started coloring. I used quite a few layers of colors for this character because his clothes are white, so I turned them into light gray.

I draw in an anime style, so I slightly changed the eyes, which I initially thought were all green, by adding some white. I was considering making them black, but I was afraid it might make him look too fierce.

Once I finished coloring, shading, and highlighting the entire character, I moved on to the background color.

For the background color, I used a sea urchin filter to act as a sort of glow. I also added some shadows, and I chose the color combination of black and violet.
