Battle Mage Secrets: Broken Arrows, expect magic!!!

Hello Splinterfans! New week, new challenges and new entries... This weeks challenge is about the broken arrows ruleset in which monsters with ranged attacks cannot be played, also.. (and I didn't knew this - did they change this at some point?) monsters with 2 types of attack (which include ranged) cannot be used.

A few weeks ago I had the problem where I couldn't get any armored up battle in my ranked battles of that day, really annoying! So to not have that same problem, I'm saving some nice battles in a text file so I don't run into this problem any more

My battle for this week is of course a broken arrows battle, in which I face Quix the Devious, not the best choice for this ruleset maybe! image.png

I chose Kelya Frendul because of it's speed but mostly the access the water splinter, I rent bortus but only at level 1 so that's why it's Kelya. I wanted the water splinter because it has a lot of void monsters, and with this ruleset you can expect a lot of magic to be played, of course some players use other tactics (full sneak) but it's a good bet.

Very imporant ability for this ruleset:

My Lineup:

Summoner: Kelya Frendul - Mainly to have access to the water splinter, it's speed it always nice!

Tank position: Torhillo the Frozen - This epic untamed card isn't played a lot in modern these days, its high melee damage combined with decent armor and high health points make this an excellent tank when you expect magic.

Second position: Baakjira - Slowing the enemy and giving a lot of voided health points to get trough is always nice, the cards behind it can have more time to finish off the enemy monsters.

Third position: Djinn Oshannus - Void, Phase and high speed, the perfect anti magic monster!

Fourth position: Deep Lurker - I put this in to hunt down enemy healers and glass cannons hurting my team too much

Fifth position: Musa Saline - While very new, I love her already! I even made a seperate post about her. I put her in mostly for the shatter ability, together with her high speed she fires as one of the first, and when you've watched the battle, you can see how devasting shatter can be

Last position: Nerissa Tridawn - High healthpoints, high magic damage, good sneak protection for the weaker cards in the middle of my pack.

As expected, my opponent went heavy magic, with two formidable tanks up front: Djinn Chwalla with Carnage Titan backing him up with the double strike reach ability, often seen and effective synergy of these two monsters!

Round 2

Due to his shattered armor, Djinn Cwalla already was killed and resurrected by River Helondale, my Djinn Oshannus was so fast firing first that it already killed Chwalla again before I could make my screenshot lol! Torhillo is being hit hard by Carnage Titan and all the magic damage, but this was to be expected and that's why I put a lot of anti magic high HP in front.

Round 3

Carnage Titan was awaiting the same fate, getting his armor shattered and at the start of round 3 it's almost dead.

Round 4

image.png
Deep Lurkers high melee damage really helped killing off the enemy Djinn Oshannus, from this round it went wrong fast for my opponent although he had some really nice cards.

Round 5

image.png
Right at the start of round 5, the enemy Djinn Oshannus is killed by mine, there goes the last protection against my damage output, all what was left is clean up the rest.

Round 6

The same fate awaited the enemy Nerissa Tridawn and Chaos Dragon was killed right after.

You can watch the full battle for yourself here.
