RE: Midweek Report : Splinterlands Insist DEC-B is not an Early April Fools Day Joke

Watch it do absolutely nothing but reward those with bucketloads of DEC a chance to get a 20% discount on DEC they were already going to burn once buildings come out. (From someone who has bucketloads of DEC they are planning to burn on land stuff) Wish they'd just raise the fees on sellers and burn the DEC that way. Would make people more hesitent to sell, slow people flipping or in the least burn dec from reward cards sales that would mostly going to be bot farmers taking out of the economy...Or just ban bot farms and then we dont need these constant proposals in an attempt to fix broken economy.

Good point Mike about the selling fees although I would predict that would raise an even greater argument around those who have bucketloads of DEC.

On a serious note. If we want to get DEC back to peg, we dont need a new token. We just need to add 5% seller fee to card sales. At 5% DEC burn fee would delete 3.1 million dec per day from the current market (24 hour sales cap). Slowly decreasing as the price heads back to peg...The added fee would mostly come from bot farmers selling their gains and I'm sure most people who sell would be ok to incur such a fee in order to see the value of DEC increase. What I believe would work best: keep it on until we hit peg and then have your regular fee + a nominal peg fee that can increase depending on how hard the peg is being challenged on any given day. If the peg fee gets too high people will forced to stop selling cards (more specifically bot farms) and that will have a positive impact against peg and additionally market card value due to cards not being dumped on the market. Just My Opinion but I think everyone wins in this. If some bugger wants to offload loads of DEC on a secondary market it would force the seller fees so high they they couldn't sell all their cards without incurring riddiculous fees hurting profits. It would force people to be careful about selling out large volumes of cards for DEC very quickly. Because if too many people do it at once, the fees would skyrocket and they would take devasting impact on their profits making it more viable to gradually sell and to keep the peg stable. I could be wrong and am missing an elephant in the room too. lol
