Hah - I keep checking in periodically on where the land is and it is very slow moving. Seems like most, the whales (?), are holding and waiting like you. I'm waiting too but I have been wondering if there might be a travel route across water...

Who knows if it really matters, I just like fire.
Would make sense to claim as close as possible to each other (all of our guild) so we can take advantage of that. But maybe its more of an advantage to have plots all around… who knows.
