Condesa L'ament Fan Art - Splinterlands Art Contest Week 196
Hello hivers, welcome to a new post. I had some time without being able to participate in the weekly contest of @splinterlands, so this week I decided to do it again, I'm very excited about this illustration, I enjoyed every stroke in it, I really put a lot of feeling hehe. Without more to say, I share with you the process of it.
This week I was inspired by the Contessa L'ament card, it belongs to the Death deck of cards in the Untamed edition, when I read the history of the fandom it caught my attention, so I got to work.
PROCESS - PROCESO
To start I made the sketch, I wanted to make it as that sensual and bad girl hehe. Once I had the sketch ready, I placed the base colors and gave her the respective details step by step. This time I didn't do line art, I have learned new things to avoid the use of this in some illustrations.
To elaborate this character I used the nib brush and the airbrush. The powerful glow in the eyes I made with the airbrush, orange, white and fuchsia colors in a layer with "add (glow)" fusion. I did something similar with the skulls that come out of his hands, but in this case I used a brush that gives a smoke effect and the orange color, to make it look like flames I placed another layer on top and adjusted it to the lower layer, this one I placed fusion "add shine" and with the paint can I put a gradient.
Finally I made the background, I almost never do this, but this time I felt inspired 😁, so I made a sketch of a cave. This I worked with the watercolor brush and earth tones. I loved this final result.
