Hello hivers, Welcome!
Once again I bring you my entry for the splinterlands weekly contest, for this opportunity I have chosen a legendary unit called Epona. I've been working on this art since last week since I had a lot of free time and I wanted to do something a bit more elaborate, I worked with the half body characters, but it was a bit complicated to make the horse so I couldn't participate last week, hehe without more to say I share with you the process.

Una vez mas les traigo mi participacion para el concurso semanal de splinterlands, para esta oportunidad he elegido una unidad legendaria llamada Epona. He estado trabajando en este arte desde la semana pasada ya que tenía mucho tiempo libre y quería hacer algo un poco más elaborado, trabajé con los personajes de medio cuerpo, pero fue un poco complicado hacer el caballo por lo que no pude participar la semana pasada, jeje sin más que decir les comparto el proceso.
First I made the sketch of Epona and her horse, then I was elaborating the background, when I started to paint I started with the background, I took as a color palette some earth tones and greens a little opaque. I started to elaborate the trees and blurred them, I added some textures and illuminations and then I continued with the horse.
Primero hice el boceto de Epona y su caballo, luego fui elaborando el fondo, cuando me puse a pintar empecé por el fondo, tomé como paleta de colores algunos tonos tierra y verdes un poco opacos. Empecé a elaborar los árboles y los difuminé, añadí algunas texturas e iluminaciones y luego seguí con el caballo.

It took me a while to work on this one, horses are animals with a lot of muscle definition and it's something that sometimes is hard for me to work hehe, but with a little more patience I went back to work on this one, I adjusted some things with the lasso tool. Then I added some natural elements to complement the environment.
Me costó un poco la elaboración de este, los caballos son animales con mucha definición muscular y es algo que a veces me cuesta trabajar jeje, pero con un poco más de paciencia volví a trabajar en este, acomodé con la herramienta lazo y así ajusté ciertas cosas. Luego añadí algunos elementos naturales para complementar el entorno.

I continued painting the girl and when I finished this one I added some light effects. It was a new experience, I think I had never done an illustration where I involved a character with a big coastline, I always placed some small animal of less stature hehe, and I laugh is because it was frustrating at the time,instead of looking for a solution I deleted the file, haha but then I recovered it and tried again. So this is how this art turned out, I hope you like it, see you next time.
Continué pintando a la chica y cuando terminé esta le añadí algunos efectos de luz. Fue una experiencia nueva, creo que nunca había hecho una ilustración donde involucrara a un personaje con una gran costa, siempre colocaba algún animalito de menos estatura jeje, y me rio es porque fue frustrante en su momento, en vez de buscar una solución borré el archivo, jaja pero luego lo recuperé y lo volví a intentar. Así quedó este arte, espero que les guste, hasta la próxima.

En la mitologia celta existe una diosa que imagino que seria la inspiracion para esta carta.
