Hey people! welcome!

Today I decided to bring my entry for the splinterlands weekly contest, it's been a while since I did one of these, for some reason I had an artistic block. I am happy with this illustration, for this week I have chosen Xia Seachan is an epic unit, she belongs to the water element. I was struck by its appearance, it's quite similar to a sea serpent for this reason I wanted to illustrate it :3 without more to say I'll share the process.

Hola gente! bienvenidos!

Hoy he decidido traer mi entrada para el concurso semanal de splinterlands, hace tiempo que no hacía uno de estos, por alguna razón tenía un bloqueo artístico. Estoy contenta con esta ilustración, para esta semana he elegido a Xia Seachan es una unidad épica, pertenece al elemento agua. Me llamó la atención su apariencia, es bastante parecida a una serpiente marina por esta razón quise ilustrarla :3 sin más que decir compartiré el proceso.

I wanted to work with some perspective as this is sometimes difficult for me as well as water, so basically in this opportunity I set myself this challenge to improve in both, if anything I still have a lot to learn, but I am aware that with each practice I will improve, as always I try to make an illustration better than another.

This time I even put the base color of the background, normally I leave it for the end, but lately I try to work on this at once.

Quise trabajar con algo de perspectiva ya que esto a veces se me dificulta al igual que el agua, así que básicamente en esta oportunidad me propuse este reto para mejorar en ambos, si acaso aún me falta mucho por aprender, pero estoy consciente que con cada práctica mejoraré, como siempre trato de hacer una ilustración mejor que otra.

Esta vez incluso he puesto el color base del fondo, normalmente lo dejo para el final, pero últimamente intento trabajar en esto de una vez.

I forgot to save the illustrative process, that's why I jumped so abruptly between images hehe, but basically I was working on her skin and adding water textures, I also placed some scales, this I worked on making a mesh and then I was adapting it to the character's skin and placing layer fusions to achieve a somewhat realistic effect.

Se me olvidó guardar el proceso ilustrativo, por eso el salto tan brusco entre imágenes jeje, pero básicamente estuve trabajando en su piel y añadiendo texturas de agua, también coloqué algunas escamas, esto lo trabajé haciendo una malla y luego la fui adaptando a la piel del personaje y colocando fusiones de capas para conseguir un efecto algo realista.

Then I worked on his clothes and jewelry. Doing this I was also reinforcing the shadows and adding some water textures, this I achieved with the watercolor brush and some water brushes, I'm a fan of brushes, they help me a lot in the process, and csp gives you the ease of acquiring some brushes .

Luego trabajé en su vestimenta y joyas. Haciendo esto también estuve reforzando las sombras y agregando algunas texturas de agua, esto lo logre con el pincel acuarela y algunos pinceles de agua, soy fan de los pinceles, me ayudan mucho en el proceso, y csp te da la facilidad de adquirir algunos pinceles.

At the end I added a filter for the lighting, as I saw that this was very strong I was lowering little by little the opacity until I got what I wanted. This is the final result, I hope you like it, see you next time!

Al final añadí un filtro para la iluminación, como vi que esta era muy fuerte fui bajando poco a poco la opacidad hasta conseguir lo que quería. Este es el resultado final, espero que les guste, ¡hasta la próxima!

El agua es uno de mis elementos favoritos en este dibujo, ¡se ve tan realista! Creo que hiciste un gran trabajo, es bueno proponernos retos de vez en cuando y me alegra que hayas logrado tu intención de practicar más perspectiva. El rostro del personaje es muy lindo, me parece adorable incluso, pues su mirada me transmite curiosidad.
