I decided to do the "Art Style Challenge" after a long time, it was a challenge that I saw many artists doing, including my favorites, but I never had the courage to do it. This challenge consists of making a drawing, it can be of some original character or any other drawing, in different art styles. These drawing styles can be taken from animated series, anime, different artists' own styles or others, the goal is to recreate different art styles and see how different your art looks in those styles.

Decidí hacer el "Art Style Challange" después de bastante tiempo, era un reto que veía hacer a muchos artistas, incluidos mis preferidos, pero nunca tuve el atrevimiento para hacerlo. Este reto consiste en hacer un dibujo, puede ser de algún personaje original o cualquier otro dibujo, en diferentes estilos de arte. Estos estilos de dibujo pueden ser tomados de series animadas, animes, estilos propios de diferentes artistas o demás, lo que se busca es recrear diferentes estilos de arte y ver que tan diferente se ve tu arte en esos estilos.

Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! Continuing with this wonderful challenge, I went back to do the first drawing I had done to start the challenge, which was the Gorilaz style. It was the first style I did for the challenge, but I had done it in traditional, so I wanted to transfer that first drawing to digital, since I have been doing the other styles in digital.

Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Siguiendo con este maravilloso desafió, volví a hacer el primer dibujo que había hecho para darle inicio al reto, el cual fue el estilo de Gorilaz. Fue el primer estilo que hice para el reto, pero lo había hecho en tradicional, así que me entraron unas ganas enromes de pasar ese primer dibujo a digital, ya que he venido haciendo los demás estilos en digital.

I started by passing an image of the sketch in traditional to the drawing program I used, which was specifically Krita, I took it from the publication of this first art style, which I leave here, to pass it to digital. I made a couple of fixes that I had seen were missing in the sketch. I made two layers for this, one layer where I did what would be a first sketch and then another one, where I did the cleaner and more detailed line art work.

Comencé pasando una imagen del boceto en tradicional al programo de dibujo que use, que fue específicamente Krita, la tome de la publicación que había de este primer estilo de arte, que se las dejo aquí, para pasarlo a digital. Hice un par de arreglos que había visto que faltaban en el boceto. Hice dos capas para esto, una capa en donde hice lo que vendría siendo un primer boceto y luego otra, donde hice el trabajo de line art mas limpio y detallado.

Then I went to do the color work, taking into account two things, the first; I took the color palette that I usually use to paint my character in all the styles that I am doing and two; I took as a reference the color work that characterizes this style of drawing, in order to do all the color in the style of Gorillaz, but using my usual color palette.

Luego me fui a hacer el trabajo de color, tomando en cuanta dos cosas, la primera; tome la paleta de color que estoy usando habitualmente para pintar mi personaje en todos los estilos que voy haciendo y dos; tome como referencia el trabajo de color que caracteriza a este estilo de dibujo, para así hacer todo el color al estilo de Gorillaz, pero usando mi paleta de color habitual.

I was doing all the color, adding shadows and details in the drawing, always using this style as a reference, which at this point has been one of my favorites, by the fact that it resembles in a way to my original style, although in this style in particular, is usually used much line art and very flat colors, adding certain shadows, things that in my style does not happen, but it has really been one in which I have connected artistically, so I will take it into account to take reference of elements to integrate in it and use or develop them further in my own style.

Fui haciendo todo el color, agregando a su vez sombras y detalles en el dibujo, siempre usando de referencia este estilo, que a este punto ha sido unos de mis favoritos, por el hecho de que se asemeja de cierto modo a mi estilo original, aunque en este estilo en particular, se suele usar mucho line art y colores muy planos, agregando ciertas sombras, cosas que en mi estilo no pasa, pero realmente ha sido uno en los que mas he conectado artísticamente, así que lo tendré en cuenta para tomar referencia de elementos que integrar en el mismo y usarlos o desarrollarlos más en mi estilo propio.
