There is a hidden cave borne into the wall of the abyss that holds the Dark Water in ΛZMΛRÉ. Inside this cave, there is a rarely-seen steam vent, but not an ordinary steam vent. Rather than hot air, the cracks in the rocks vent a shimmering and magical light that radiates from deep within the guts of the Planet. As the light gathered in the otherwise dark underwater cavern, the piles of kelp growing there were strangely affected. They came to life and formed into Kelp Initiates that quickly found their way out of the cave. They floated to the Mertropolis not as invaders or aggressors, but as healers and guides, bringing tidings from another world that exists far below this one. Their tidings are still murky, as the Kelp Creatures are only just figuring out how to vocalize the sounds of the Splinterlands common tongue. Confession moment, I saw this card and simply fell in love with it. The composition of it caught me and I had to do my version of this incredible character from @Splinterlands. I must also say that the original character despite having a color palette in green tones, which I'm not such a fan of, I could work it without any problem for my drawing.

Momento de confesión, esta carta la vi y simplemente quede enamorado. La composición de la misma me atrapo y sin duda tenia que hacer mi versión de este increíble personaje de parte de @Splinterlands. Debo decir también que el personaje original a pesar de tener una paleta de color en tonos verdes, la cual no soy tan fanático, la pude trabajar sin problema alguno para mi dibujo.

To start, the first thing I had to do was to think about the idea for my drawing. I discarded completely the idea of making the character full body, although I'm practicing much more to work full body drawings, so for this one I discarded that idea and I only concentrated on working the face, since the idea that came to my mind for it, was that he was submerged in the water, like stalking someone from the water. The only thing I discarded from the original character and didn't include in my version, was that kind of fan he has on his neck or I don't know what it is, but I felt it was too much and it would look too saturated in terms of elements for my composition, so I discarded it completely.

Para encomenzar, lo primero que tuve que hacer fue pensar en la idea para mi dibujo. Descarte por completo la idea de hacer el personaje cuerpo completo, a pesar de que estoy practicando mucho más trabajar dibujos a cuerpo completo, así para este descarte esa idea y solo me concentre en trabajar el rostro, ya que la idea que se me ocurrió para el mismo, fue que estuviera sumergido en el agua, como asechando a alguien desde la misma. Lo único que descarte del personaje original y no incluí en mi versión, fue como esa especie de abanico que tiene en el cuello o no se que sea muy bien la verdad, pero sentí que era demasiado y se vería muy saturado en cuanto a elementos para mi composición, así que lo descarte por completo.

Once I had the sketch done and I had all the elements I wanted to integrate for my drawing, I went to work on the color. Following the original color palette of the character, I noticed that most of them were cold colors and green tones, so that was the color palette with which I worked my drawing, adding some areas of the character with some red tones.

Una vez que tuve el boceto hecho y que tenia todos los elementos que quería integrar para mi dibujo, me fui a trabajar el color. Siguiendo la paleta de color original del personaje, note que en su mayoría eran colores fríos y en tonalidades verdes, así que fue la paleta de color con la que trabaje mi dibujo, sumando algunas zonas del personaje con algunos tonos en rojo.

After having been working on the color for quite a while, I took the task of looking for references on water drops and integrate them to my drawing, since the composition of the drawing was that he was coming out or peeking out of the water, so I had to drain water from his face. I saw a few references of how I could make them and I started to detail them all over the face and I took the opportunity to work the water as well and I feel that the final result was not so bad, they look great and the details that I gave to the drawing in general, make it look great, I really liked this work a lot.

Luego de haber estado trabajando el color por un buen rato, me di la tarea de buscar referencias sobre gotas de agua e integrarlas a mi dibujo, ya que la composición del mismo era que estaba saliendo o asomándose desde el agua, así que tenia que escurrir agua de su rostro. Vi unas cuantas referencias de como podía hacerlas y comencé a detallarlas en todo el rostro y aproveche de trabajar el agua también y siento que no estuvo tan mal el resultado final, se ven super bien y los detalles que le di al dibujo en general, lo hacen ver genial, realmente me gusto muchísimo este trabajo.
