Hello beautiful people of HiveBlog! Today I'm sharing with you all a new drawing for the @Splinterlands art contest, it's Goblin Shaman, which is one of those characters that I've seen since the beginning of the game and had always caught my attention, until I finally felt like drawing him.

I started making the sketch and for that, I was looking at the original illustration, in order to take references from it. After having seen the illustration for a while, I started to work on my drawing, since I had the idea to make my version. I changed the original pose for another one and I wanted to make the character with more human features, but without leaving aside the essence of the original drawing.

Comencé haciendo el boceto y para ello, estuve viendo la ilustración original, para así tomar referencias del mismo. Luego de haber visto por un rato la ilustración, comencé a trabajar en mi dibujo, ya que tenia la idea para hacer mi versión. Cambie la pose original por otra y quise hacer al personaje con rasgos un poco más humanos, pero sin dejar de lado la esencia del dibujo original.

I feel that my composition turned out very well, it did take me a while to finish or to get a sketch that I liked, but the truth is that I loved the way it turned out. I proceeded to work the color throughout the drawing, for this I took as a reference the color palette of the original character. As you know, I'm not a fan of working with very saturated color palettes, so for this drawing I worked with a somewhat pastel color palette, but always keeping in mind the original colors.

Siento que mi composición quedo muy bien, sí me tomo un tiempo en poder terminar o quedarme con un boceto que me gustara, pero la verdad que me encanto como quedo. Proseguí a trabajar el color en todo el dibujo, para ello tome como referencia la paleta de color del personaje original. Como ustedes saben, no soy muy fanático de trabajar paletas de color muy saturadas, así que para este dibujo trabaje una paleta de color un tanto pastel, pero siempre teniendo en cuenta los colores originales.

I wanted to add a simple background, but that would match the character, so I had the idea of making a desert background or that would give that approach, because the drawing in general gives me the impression that it is in the desert by his clothes, plus in the official description we are told that come from Burning Lands, so I think if they walk in deserts.

Quise agregar un fondo un tanto simple, pero que hiciese juego con el personaje, así que tuve la idea de hacer de fondo un desierto o que diera ese enfoque, porque el dibujo en general me da la impresión de que esta en el desierto por su vestimenta, ademas que en la descripción oficial nos dicen que provienen de Tierras Ardientes, entonces creo que si andan en desiertos.

Finally I just had to do the final details, like the lineart and add some shadows on the drawing and that's it, job done. To be honest, at the beginning I wasn't liking it at all, but the more I worked on it, the more I liked it, so much that I ended up loving this drawing.

Por ultimo solo tuve que hacer los detalles finales, como el linear y agregar algunas sombras en el dibujo y listo, trabajo terminado. La verdad y siéndoles totalmente sincero, al principio no me estaba gustando para nada, pero mientras mas trabajaba en el, mas me gustaba, tanto así que termine amando este dibujo.
