LOH CONTEST #146 - THE PAMPERING I NEEDED

Having people around you who genuinely love you is priceless.

In the month of April, my sisters came to my house and said they were going to be in charge of the house for that day. All they needed for me to do that day was sleep, eat, and rest. Prior to that time, they said they noticed how stressed I was the last time they visited and decided they needed to help me before I break down or got admitted to the hospital.

They didn't come empty-handed; they came along with my favorite snacks, which are red velvet and chocolate cake, farm-fresh yogurt, and peppered fried chicken.
While I was in the room eating and relaxing, I went through my Netflix list to watch a movie that has been on my list for ages.
I didn't know how much time had passed, as I was busy all day moving from movie to movie. The icing on the cake for me that day was that my daughter was in their company, and I profited from that distraction as my daughter can be a handful when she wants to be.

There is no better feeling than being pampered, and it gets more enjoyable when there is nobody to temper the pampering.
Many people are so used to doing everything by themselves that they do not know what it means or how it feels to get something done for them. Many people are so used to buying everything for themselves that they have forgotten what it feels like to have something bought for them. Many people have closed their minds to every form or appearance of pampering because the last time they were pampered, at the end of the treat they ended up fighting sexual advances with comments such as "after all I have done for you." Many have become victims of rape, sexual molestation, and abuse just because they turned down a relationship proposal that came on the heels of a pampering.
As much as we want to be treated well, it is safer to outline the terms of the engagement so that we are fully aware of what we are getting into.

I love to be pampered, and I want to be given a treat, but I want to enjoy all these things with no strings attached, at least not as payment for the treat. I think I will tell my sisters that I need part two of this treat😀.

It's good to know you had a day being pampered. We most often do things for others and rarely have the time for ourselves and for me, I hardly expect to be pampered but it won't be a bad idea

You have sisters with golden hearts, I don't know many people that have that kind of relative that is sensitive enough to do that for anyone, including their own siblings or friends.
