CAPTAIN KATIE: is winning easy? (ENG-ESP)
Hello good afternoon, we meet again this week with a blog focused on a strategy that is slowly becoming fashionable, and you have to go moving with the meta so I committed myself and started using it to see its result in ranked and the truth I had divided results that I would like to analyze with you, so if you do not mind I invite you to read this post and comment your concerns!
The card in question is CAPTAIN KATIE a gladius card that thanks to the new summoners and the new battle rule of using a gladius card we can enjoy its power. The first and important thing is that a rare card and therefore makes it easy access than a card of greater rarity and more knowing that many take a few weeks to open a gladius envelope, the best thing is that it is already very competitive since its level 1 so having a single copy already makes it valuable I so far I only have two copies nothing more.
There is no strategy really on the card, there is no specific alignment, but the monster alone is already very powerful and that well used you can abuse their abilities.
The problem lies in the good use of it, looking for the opportunity to use it. By basing the strategy only on a monster many times we will see that it is not strong enough for the battle or simply is countered, a situation that happened to me more than once.
My average win rate was %60 using this card in my lineup. I think I lost a lot as I was experimenting a lot. Battles where I clearly knew what my opponent was going to use and knew I had to play I didn't in order to test the strategy and if I could withstand certain very tough battles. Or just love an alignment in battles where I knew I wasn't strong enough for it.
I used it in both modern and wild.
In modern at the moment I am at rank 449 silver and defended about 150 spots testing this strategy, which is not to say it is bad, just that I took a risk for science!
On the other hand in wild I'm on rank 825 and unlike modern I climbed about 700 places testing this strategy, it may simply be because I was on low level when I started playing it with a lot of desire.

This battle normally I would have played a very similar lineup to my opponent, but it was a good time of experimentation KATIE had a target for the first attack and that made the difference. Since by not having one more attack it was going to take a while to kill the giant and because of the damage of the giant and the lengthening of one more turn the battle could be lost so in battles of this type it depends a lot on the opponent alignment, it doesn't make it as in other cases a counter or insta win battle as we might imagine.

I didn't analyze the possibility of the opponent using many creatures attacking in the background, I think if I placed KATIE one or two positions ahead I had a clear chance of winning

Again I make the same mistake I place it too far back I don't know what would have happened to this battle if I placed it one or two posts ahead. I knew of a page where I could simulate battles but I lost it in some notepad and I can't remember it, if anyone remembers what it was called you can leave it in the comments.

Hola buenas tardes, nos volvemos a encontrar esta semana con un blog centrado a una estrategia que de a poco se está poniendo de moda, y hay que ir moviéndose con el meta por lo que me comprometí y empecé a usarla para ver su resultado en ranked y la verdad tuve resultados divididos que me gustaría analizar con ustedes, por lo que si no les parece mal los invito a leer este post y comentar sus inquietudes!
La carta en cuestión es CAPTAIN KATIE una carta gladius que gracias a los invocadores nuevos y la nueva regla de batalla de usar una carta gladius podemos disfrutar su poder. Lo primero e importante es que una carta rara y por lo tanto la hace dé fácil acceso que una carta de mayor rareza y más sabiendo que muchos tardamos unas semanas para poder abrir un sobre de gladius, lo mejor es que la misma ya es muy competitiva desde su nivel 1 por lo que al tener una sola copia ya la hace valiosa yo hasta el momento solo cuento con dos copias nada más.
No hay una estrategia realmente sobre la carta, no hay una alineación especifica, sino que el monstruo por sí sola ya es muy poderosa y que bien usada se puede abusar de sus habilidades.
El problema erradico en el buen uso de la misma, buscando la oportunidad para que se use. Al basar la estrategia solo en un monstruo muchas veces veremos que no es lo suficientemente fuerte para la batalla o simplemente es contrarrestada, situación que me paso más de una vez.
Mi promedio de victoria fue de un %60 usando esta carta en mi alineación. Creo que perdí mucho ya que estuve experimentando mucho. Batallas donde claramente sabia que iba a usar mi oponente y sabia que tenia que jugar no lo hice para probar la estrategia y si podía aguantar ciertas batallas muy duras. O simplemente amar una alineación en batallas donde sabia que no era lo suficientemente fuerte para la misma.
La use tanto en modern como en wild.
En modern en este momento me encuentro en rango 449 de plata y defendí unos 150 puestos probando esta estrategia, que no quiere decir que sea mala, solo que yo me arriesgue por la ciencia!
Por otro lado en wild ando en puesto 825 y a diferencia de modern subí unos 700 puestos probando esta estrategia, puede ser simplemente por que estaba en nivel bajo cuando empecé a jugarla con muchas ganas.
Paso a mostrar batallas tanto donde gané como donde perdí mas que nada para ver en que casos puede ser correcto o no usar a CAPTAIN KATIE y con qué monstruos se puede acompañar mejor

Esta batalla erradicó simplemente en que la sed de sangre se activó muy rápido y se puede ver como KATIE por sí sola hizo una gran diferencia

en esta batalla KATIE fue completamente contrarrestada aun así gane, pero podemos ver una estrategia que puede molestarla muchísimo y que van a pensar dos veces antes de armar esta alineación

Esta batalla normalmente hubiera jugado una alineación muy similar a la de mi oponente, pero fue un buen momento de experimentación KATIE tuvo un objetivo para el primer ataque y eso hizo la diferencia. Ya que al no tener uno mas de ataque iba a demorar en matar al gigante y por el daño del mismo y el alargarse un turno más la batalla podía perderse por lo que en batallas de este tipo depende mucho de la alineación oponente, no la hace como en otros casos una batalla counter o insta win como podríamos imaginar

esta seria la partida donde se disfruta tener a KATIE en la alineación ya que carrilea toda la batalla.

CAPTAIN KATIE no llega a hacer sed de sangre rápido, no tenia buena alineación para acompañarla y eso acompaña al resultado

No analice la posibilidad de que el oponente usara muchas criaturas que atacaran al fondo, creo que si colocaba a KATIE una o dos posiciones mas adelante tenia una clara posibilidad de ganar

Nuevamente cometo el mismo error la coloco muy atrás no se que hubiera pasado de esta batalla si la colocaba uno o dos puestos mas adelante. Sabía de una página donde podía simular batallas pero la perdí en algún anotador y no logro recordarla, si alguien se acuerda de como se llamaba puede dejarlo en los comentarios
Bien y eso fue mi experiencia jugando con CAPTAIN KATIE, creo que mi margen de victoria puede subir mas y recuerden que si van a usar a KATIE no la pongan ni muy atrás ni muy adelante! LOL
