Splinterlands Art Contest Week 271 / Feral Spirit

Happy day my dear alien friends of the Hive community 👾👾👾👾👾, you are all welcome.

Today I want to share with you my new submission for the Splinterland Art contest.

This week I was enchanted by a Splinterlands card that I thought was really cool, reminding me a bit of the Cheshire cat (laughing cat) from Alice in Wonderland, I'm talking about none other than Feral Spirit.

Trapped forever between dimensions, the Feral Spirits (and all the Luminous Beasts) are the result of the Obliteration of Light, a horrible destructive event in which all the living disappeared from the surface of Khymeria. These spirits do not hunger or thirst, but their fangs still bite and their claws still cut. 1

Feral Spirit struck me as a very ethereal and fantastic being similar to a puff of smoke with contrasting colors that are opposites on the color wheel according to colorimetry, cool purple with warm orange.

Another thing I loved about it is that it looks like a cat. Cats are usually mysterious animals full of magic.

I love cats, they are a great source of inspiration in my art.

CREATIVE PROCESS

To make this fanart I used the help of artificial intelligence, specifically the Ausbit bot in Discord.

For those of you who don't know it, I highly recommend it to let your imagination run wild.

When you log in you will be given a number of credits for free so you can create whatever you want to explore artistically and then you can buy more credits with Hive currency.

This was the first prompt I used:

I really admire his work as an illustrator and artist where the gothic meets the fantastic and I wanted this cute character to have a similar style to Benjamin.

Then I wanted to explore what he would look like, beyond just a portrait of his face and this was the prompt I used:

This was the final result. I really loved them all, however, I felt that the ethereal quality like the smoke being that I wanted to highlight could be perceived more clearly in the first image I shared in this post.

Esta semana quedé encantada con una carta de Splinterlands que me pareció muy genial, recordándome un poco al gato Cheshire (gato risueño) de Alicia en el País de las Maravillas, estoy hablando nada más y nada menos que de Feral Spirit.

Atrapados para siempre entre las dimensiones, los Espíritus Feroces (y todas las Bestias Luminosas) son el resultado de la Obliteración de la Luz, un horrible evento destructivo en el que todos los vivos desaparecieron de la superficie de Khymeria. Estos espíritus no tienen hambre ni sed, pero sus colmillos todavía muerden y sus garras todavía cortan. 1

Feral Spirit me pareció un ser muy etéreo y fantástico similar a una bocanada de humo con colores que hacen contraste y que son opuestos en la rueda del color según la colorimetría, el frío morado con el cálido naranja.

Otra cosa que amé de él es que luce como un gato. Los gatos suelen ser animales misteriosos y llenos de magia.

Yo amo los gatos, son una gran fuente de inspiración en mi arte.

PROCESO CREATIVO

Realmente admiro mucho su trabajo como ilustrador y artísta donde confluyen lo gótico con lo fantástico y quise que este simpático personaje tuviera un estilo similar al de Benjamín.
