Yep,, still struggling with how it all works very much, not least adding pictures to these typed out brainfarts..

I'm investing most of what time I do have, to understanding the battles, cards, stats & abilities. Gaining experience daily, trying to digest what worked and what didn't for each battle,,

Really enjoying the tactical preperation side now, with the ECR now understood a little more, I am much better at taking the time to have a look at my opponents potential decks and trying to form a logical strategy,,, but lot's still to learn for this oldboy!!

:D Well, where to start?? lots of nice moments to keep me pointing in the right direction.. Firstly, making it to Bronze 2 this season and seeing some results(even if miniscule :P) really nice to see those purple numbers trickling up finally.. Managed to hook up some wicked win streaks :P Then the Bronze 2 theatre of war also presented me with the different battle rules, I really liked trying out some of those - "variety is the spice of life" someone once said! I'm not sure how far youshould take that in real life, but for Splinterlands it is bang on!
Just a couple more great bits to mention - was chuffed to bits when I scored 150 and then 1000 credits in a daily quest chest :O A Stunner!!! came at just the right time for me :] been able to try many cards and decks thanks to that! I also landed my first card =) - The Pelacor Deciever (insert pic here, DOH!!!)
lots of other cool stuff too!!

yeah, managed to see some vids and posts on the incoming updated rewards, looks to my newbie eyes to be a good move and well considered.
The chests look great, and really great to see dec down to Br1..
But, seems there is some dancing to be done,, like I only reached Br2 3 or 4 days ago and already I am getting hammered because I try not to use starter cards lol,, everything in balance and I will find a way ;P

I am pre internet old, and a newbie just learning here. apologies for any errors on my part,,, also I will attempt to credit and link you guys with the helpfull content in my future brainfarts, and of course you guys showing me some love and support.
