Even more so when mana is scarce and other conditions turn the battle into an event where the slightest mistake tips the balance of victory/defeat to one side or the other. Once again my victory came in the Brawl of the week, specifically in a Bronze fray. We were only allowed to use monsters of the elements of fire, water and life; and, to top it off, we had the tiny amount of 18 mana. In addition to Rise of the Commons, today's main battle condition, we also had Aim True and Target Practice. Particularly the first of these two, which would prevent minions from being able to dodge attacks, made my hair stand on end.

Unlike what I originally imagined, the fight went all the way to round five (I thought at best it would not go past round three). The opponent and I matched three of the four monsters we each arranged on the field, albeit in different positions.

Consideraciones finales

La inclusión de Lorna Shine terminó siendo fundamental para la conquista. De haber elegido otro invocador, probablemente acababa por perder. Por otro lado, creo que conté con la suerte de que mi adversario se confiara en tener ventaja con la velocidad (razón por la cual supongo que optó por Ilthain). No es mi victoria más “limpia”, pero gané, al fin y al cabo.

The inclusion of Lorna Shine ended up being fundamental to the conquest. Had I chosen another summoner, I probably ended up losing. On the other hand, I think I was lucky that my opponent relied on having a speed advantage (which is why I guess he chose Ilthain). Not my "cleanest" win, but I won, after all.
