Obligatory Chaos Legion Pack Opening

Since @blanchy so conveniently reminded me that I should be making an obligatory pack opening post and bore everyone to their core.

Here we are.

Although many were able to put together enough liquid and crab the required 350 packs and guarantee themselves an airdrop card for the next 9 Legendary drops coming up. I did not.

On one hand, I debated selling some of my current cards and even just cycling the packs I do get to open and sell, buy, open and sell.

In the end, I called it a day and decided to just chill the fuck out.

For one thing, I did not want to sell any of my valuable cards at the current prices. I could sell a ton of smaller cards but... Too much damn effort.

Although I did not push too hard to get to the 350 mark. I was able to get a total of 92 Packs and will keep adding as I go. Slow and steady.

Slow and steady is exactly how I have been playing this game anyway, at one point I almost forgot it was still around. But now here we are.

So after cashing in my vouchers, some loose SPS, removing my DEC liquidity and selling off some random assets including a bit of BTC on Binance. All to avoid dumping cards.

I got my packs and have opened 48 of them. I am still a bit on the fence about whether I should just open the other 44 and then look at just selling.

As a smaller account without many options other than buying the cards as I earn more DEC. Which you can see from the screenshot is pretty much depleted. I think opening and taking the RNG gamble is probably a good choice.

Then the new mission would just be to make sure I have a good set of packs for when they are all gone. Maybe if I paid attention to this game from the start I would know all these little tips. We live and we learn. If not you are braindead.

..or lazy.

Since I am lazy I will just give an overview of my packs and the highlights.

So some quick math (with a calculator)
92 Packs = $368 ($4) - _{not counting pre-sale pack costs etc.}
The Potions required to open 48 packs and improve gold and legendary drop rates.
Gold Potions = $12
Legendary Potions = $9.6

That makes the total spent over 48 packs opened $213.60

As you can see from the above image, the cards are... what is the word... man it sounds like being punched in the dick hole... I forget.

Over 48 packs the total market value for all the cards tallies up to $169.65 , I guess that is not so bad right?

It does mean I will probably want to hold off on selling right away until that number is a bit bigger, then again, I should learn to be more selective on what cards I keep.

Currently, I am just hoarding any 'ol card and have a very patchy deck with goat shit levels all over the lawn.

So what "saved" my value?

The two cards with a combined value of just under a half of the total value gained from the packs are a Gold General Sloan summoner and a Legendary Quix the Devious.

So the question that plagues me is, could someone go through all my cards and build an optimised buy-sell for a power deck but with maximum value return so I can use the funds to buy more packs but still play at Gold and above without renting.

Renting sucks.

Now to go scrounge for some more potion money so I can anguish over having opened more packs.
