Hello there, Alien friends, how are you all?👋🤠
This time, I'm sharing my entry for the Splinterlands Art Contest
I've been wanting to use the DOCTOR BLIGHT card since last week; I really like its dark and mysterious vibe, so I decided to illustrate it in my own style.

En esta ocasión les comparto mi participación para el Concurso de arte de Splinterlands
Desde la semana pasada he querido utilizar la carta de DOCTOR BLIGHT, me gusta mucho su vibra oscura y misteriosa, por lo cual decidí ilustrarla a mi estilo

As I mentioned at the beginning, this card inspired a mysterious and somewhat eerie vibe in me, so I decided to give it that touch of mystery starting from the sketch. Lately, I've been practicing this style of illustration inspired by splash art but in portrait form, so I no longer need such detailed sketches or line art.

Como lo decía al principio esta carta me inspiró una vibra misteriosa e incluso algo tenebrosa, por lo cual decidí darle ese toque de misterio partiendo desde el boceto.
Últimamente estoy practicando este estilo de ilustración inspirado en el splashart pero en forma de retrato, por lo cual ya no necesito un boceto tan detallado y tampoco lineart.

In the previous step, after creating the sketch, I proceed to add the base colors, and at this point, I begin rendering the illustration. I started by adding details to the mask and the upper part of the chest and torso. I really liked the idea of having the upper part look like worn and torn clothing but without losing elegance, so I added some golden accents to make it stand out.

En el paso anterior luego de realizar el boceto procedo a agregar los colores base y en este punto ya empiezo a renderizar la ilustración, empecé dando detalles en la mascara y la parte superior del pecho y torso, me gustó mucho la idea de que su parte superior sea como una especie ropa desgastada y rasgada pero sin perder elegancia dándole unos toques dorados para resaltar.

After defining the upper part a bit, I moved on to detailing the jewelry and certain mask elements. I also started working on the lower part, although the character doesn't have as many details there, so I complemented it with some shadows.

Luego de definir un poco la parte superior me fui ahora por detallar la joyería y ciertos detalles de la mascara, también empecé la parte inferior aunque en esta el personaje no tiene tantos detalles, así que lo complemente con algunas sombras.

We've reached the final step, and in this part, I wanted to emphasize many aspects of the character. I found it very interesting to give it subtle light reflections with its green aura and mix it a bit with the yellow light from its lantern. So, I highlighted parts of its clothing, jewelry, mask, and some of its body.

Llegamos al paso final, en esta parte quería resaltar muchas partes del personaje, se me hacia muy interesante darle reflejos sutiles de luz con su aura verde y mezclarla un poco con la luz amarilla de su linterna, así que resalté partes de su ropa, joyería, mascara y un poco su cuerpo.

This is how DOCTOR BLIGHT turned out, and I really liked the result. In the end, to make the character stand out more, I used purple colors, as they complement the green and yellow tones very nicely.

Así quedó DOCTOR BLIGHT, la verdad me gustó mucho el resultado, al final para destacar más al personaje usé colores morados ya que se ven muy bien con los tonos verdes y amarillos.
