In all honesty, I was trying to have the water surface fade into a blur as it extends further into the background. I admit I am actually not very good with backgrounds, and I probably need to be more patient when I paint them. 😅

No, don't worrie about it it's like a wierd illusion. It's the backgroud after all, don't put all the effort in it.
