Djinn Inferni VS Kron Last Stand, Social Media Challenge !

Already 10 month i played this game, and still have fun playing it until now. Many update patch, new monster, new summoner which already released and some still announced only. This weekend i want to share again Social Media Challenge this time about monster Djinn Inferni. Not many player using it, I'll explain again later in "Question of the Day" section. Djinn Inferni Lore

Djinn Inferni is the eldest of the ancient wardens of fire, spirits of flame that dwell in the deepest rivers of stone. Second only to Lord Janai himself, he is prideful and cunning, but fiercely loyal to his master. With the opening of the rift and the betrayal of Djinn Muriat he has taken up a blood oath of vengeance against the chaos exercitus, rising to the surface to lay waste to the enemies of stone and fire.

SKILL
Description
Double strike, Does double damage against targets that cost 10 or more mana
When a Monster with Stun hits a target, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn, chance to inflict stun 50%

Strengths :

  • Has a large magic damage of 4
  • it have Stun skill will make enemy skip to attack for 1 round, make our monsters live longer.

Weaknesses :

  • For 7 mana cost and only have 4 HP is very low,
  • Speed not great, No Armor, No defense skill, easy target to hit, make this monster die quickly when attacked

Djin Inferni used in middle to high mana battle, the position is tricky we have to make sure Djin Inferni is safe as long as possible not to receive enemy monster attacks, so that it has the opportunity to attack enemy monsters, with great damage it will make it easier for us to kill enemies quickly.

In this battle you can see in the right position Djinn Inferni is very powerful can beat Kron easily although it's already in last stand stats.

Ruleset

  • Close Range Ruleset, range type monster can attack from first position.
  • Briar Patch Ruleset, all monster have thorns abilty, with thorns ability all monster When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker
  • Mana Cap 48
  • Only can use 2 element Fire and Earth

Strategy

I battle in Gold League with Modern Format. This ruleset will give an advantage to Summoner Conqueror Jacek (here I will just call it Jacek), Usually Jacek will accompany with range and magic monster, many have small HP, this ruleset make range monster can attack in the first position and the Briar Patch ruleset minimizes the possibility of enemies using Meele monsters with sneak / opportunity skills, so that our monsters behind are more safe from enemy attacks.

For this ruleset I only use Arrow and magic type monster as attacker, which benefit from using Jacek because it will attack the enemy randomly, usually the back/center of the enemy is placed by a monster with not too much HP. If by chance our attack hits the monster it will be able to kill it quickly.

The selection of monsters that I use is based on the greatest damage or the fastest speed that I have, or both. Supply Runner is used because it can increase the speed of all friendly monsters, combined with the additional speed from Jacek will make our monsters have high speed so they can attack first and if lucky enough can kill the enemy first before they attack. Because that High Speed buff i'm not affraid using monster like Jinn inferni because i believe they have a chance to dodge enemy attacks.

In this battle, there are only 2 elements that can be used, Fire and Earth. I predict that there is a possibility that the enemy will use earth which have many powerfull monster with magic attack, so we need tankers that can survive magic attacks. That's why I chose Grump Flameblade, which has large armor and HP, also has void skills (reduces magic attack damage) and Void Armor (magic attacks reduce armor first before reducing HP). And if they used Fire i Predicted that they will used Grump Flameblade so my plan is using Djin Inferni to kill Grump, he can double damage Grump with giant skill.

I want to talk a bit about enemy summoner, when tbe battle begin i see that my enemy using Scarred Llama Mage which is earth summoner, it have skill to remove any negative effect/debuff from enemy skill on the friendly monster in the first position, increase HP by 2 and the most powerfull skill Llama have is last stand, if only 1 monster left then he will give big boost to damage and speed of the monster.

SUMMONER

Conqueror Jacek is new Legendary Summoner from element Fire. It's card from Chaos Legion Edition. I used it mainly because it can boost speed +2, he also have Piercing skill (The monster damage left after hit armor will hit enemy HP) and Scattered Shoot (range and magic type monster attack enemy randomly).
First Position (Tanker)

I put it in first position because it have big armor and HP, have very usefull skill for defend Void and Void Armour, because of slow speed i don't rely too much on bloodlust skills another attack skill he have is Giant Killer
Second Position (Attacker)

Has decent damage for Gold League have skill oppress, if hit enemy with not attack will do double damage, i put it in second position infront Djinn Inferni as tanker because it has 7 hp more than the HP that djin inferni has
Third Position (Attacker)

Great Attacker with 4 magic damage which ignore armor, have very usefull skill giant killer and stun
Fourth Position (Attacker and Tanker)

Has Closed Range and stun skills, when attacking an enemy can give a stun effect causing the enemy not to attack for 1 round. Place it in this position to protect other ranged monsters if monsters in positions 1-3 die. Although the Lava Launcer monster with range type, it can still attack in the first position thanks to it's close range skill, it also has large armor and decent HP, making it suitable for use as a backup tanker.
Fifth Position (Attacker and Support)

Has swiftness skills, very useful for giving an additional speed 1 to all friendly monsters, Placed in 5th position so they don't die quickly from sneak attacks, even though this is the thorns rule, sometimes enemies still bring monsters with sneak skills with the aim of surprising and killing our monsters in the back row.
Sixth Position (Attacker & Tanker)

Has Snipe and snare skills, placed in the back row itself as a tanker to protect Supply runners, has a mana cost of only 3, have good speed allowing Lava Spider to sometime avoid sneak monster attacks.|

Battle Review

Round 1:

Battle Starting with buff and debuff, because receive buff speed from Jacek and Supply runner, all our enemy attack first.
On the enemy side :

  • The Fungus Fiend and Chaos Agent Died.
  • Legionnaire Alvar receive damage from Djinn Inferni and inflict stun, so he can't attack this round.

on Our side :

  • No one died

Round 2:

No monsters die in this round, Djinn Inferni attacks Mycelic Slipspawn and gives a stun effect, so Mycelic Slipspawn can't attack this round.


Round 3:

On the enemy side :

  • Legionnaire Alvar died
  • Oaken Behemot Died
  • Kron receive damage from Djinn Inferni, you can see that Kron HP reduce from 12 become 4, because Djinn Inferni Skill Giant Killer will do double damage if attacked monster with 10 mana cost or more, and Kron Mana cost is 10.
  • Only Mycelic Slipspawn and Kron left alive in this round. Should we worry about famous Lama Kron Last Stand ?

On our side :

  • Grum Flameblade finally died in this round. This is our first monster to die in this battle

Round 4-5:

Mycelic Slipspawn enemy died and Kron Last Stand Activated you can see increased in damage and speed of Kron, Kron immediately kill our Magi of Chaos, but when Djinn Inferni attack it, Kron from 8 HP reduce to zero.
The battle end with victory on our side.

Question of the Day

  • Did your strategy work?
    My Strategy work, that Grum working as tanker strong enough to hold enemy magic attack until round 3, our enemy got inflicted by 3 stun, which save as from at least 6 damage total (3 from Mycelic Slipspawn and 3 from Legionnaire Alvar) the last stun to Legionnaire Alvar enemy as well as kills him. They brought Kron (10 mana) and Oaken Behemoth (12 mana) with Djinn Inferni easy to kill both enemy.

  • What will you try differently next time?
    I want to change position Lava Launcher with Magi of Chaos, and put Magi of Chaos behind it. Because it have armor it may last longer.

  • Do you like Djin Inferni? Why or why not?
    • I like it especially in High Mana Battle maybe mana cap 40++ especialy with Jacek Summoner, usually in high mana battle the enemy will bring 1-2 monster with big mana cost, example in this battle is Oaken Behemoth and Kron, which is easy target for Djinn Inferni. With Jacek summoner our monster range and magic can hit monster behind tanker which usually have low HP compare to tanker infront/ monster tanker with taunt.
    • I don't like it because Djinn Inferni easy to died we must put it safe from other monster attack. For ruleset which give skill opportunity / magic reflect don't used it because opportunity skill will hit monster with low HP. Magic Reflect will make Djinn Inferni attack hit back and he have low HP, easy to die, In low mana battle maybe 12-25 i rarely used it because big mana cost requirement. That's why not many splinterlands players use Djinn Inferni.
