Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge - Wave Runner

Greetings, ye battlers! Finally, the week's challenge features a monster from my favorite splinter: Water 🌊
Not only that but it's a card I personally use quite frequently, the Wave Runner.
Of the four splinters that I actually use (I don't do Death), I only use the reach ability in three and the Water splinter is one of them!
What do I love about this monster? Well, my summoner is high enough in level so that my Wave Runner is level 4.

This gives it 3 attack and 4 speed! Those are some tank-worthy stats! His only weakness is his modest health so the second position is perfect for him.

I was going to put him in the second position but then I thought, Hold on... This is a Melee Mayhem battle!

My Thought Process
My favorite tank/card is the Frost Giant. However, lately I've been leaning more towards my Sea Monster for some reason. Maybe it's the 1 point of higher attack. No, it's definitely the healing ability it has.
Next, I chose the Tortisian Fighter. An attack of 2 for only 4 mana? Yes, please! Good candidate for this battle. Plus he has armor!
In the third position, our star monster! Back here he will do damage for a few more rounds than in the front lines.
Flanking the Wave Runner, I placed a monster he might have seen (with his 4 eyes) swimming about: the Demented Shark! I like using him especially in Melee Mayhem because he can attack as well and isn't taking a back seat. Wait...a back seat? Ahem. With the Inspire ability, that back seat is totally deserved! But anyways, yes, I like that he inspires himself and therefore attacks with a power of 3 damage.
Deeply protected in the 5th position, is a Furious Chicken, for good measure. (That's an extra 2 damage per round for 0 mana!)
And lastly, another cheap mana monster: the Enchanted Defender. His 2 attack is decent plus, if anyone tries to be clever with some sneaky monsters during a Melee Mayhem battle, that armor should hold (unless you have one of the 2 magical sneaky monsters (that I know of)).

I was happy to have won against a legendary summoner. That doesn't happen every day. And our star monster made the finishing blow, too!
