Here come another week of Weekly Battle Challenge! And the topic for this week is TENYII STRIKER. TENYII STRIKER was introduced during the Chaos pack release, and it's very good fit for fire deck as fire deck are performing relatively well for melee card IMO. And no further ado, let's get started!

LINEUP

SUMMONER
Tarsa_lv1_gold.png

Tarsa

Fire element has pretty vast choice of good melee card, that's why Tarsa has always been my favorite summoner when playing fire deck. The ability of +1 melee attack help boosting those fire melee card even stronger. And the +1 HP boost improve the survivability of all card selected into battle. In short, a very helpful card in these 2 aspect.
MONSTER
Living Lava_lv1.png

1st Position - Living Lava

While playing fire deck, I always prefer to choose Living Lava as tanker, due to his SHIELD ability which halve the incoming physical attack. While having decent armor and HP at the same time, Living Lava did also provided devastating attack. And all of this become even better when combo with Tarsa ability.
Fineas Rage_lv1.png

2nd Position - Fineas Rage

I have always choose Fineas Rage as 2nd position if mana are sufficient. Fineas Rage has very good HP and Speed (Higher chance to dodge!) to act as a backup tanker if the first position fall. Although with the cost it need, the attack of Fineas Rage can't be consider great, but with the help Tarsa this problem has been resolve. And while staying in the 2nd position, the REACH ability allowed him to attack as a melee and not wasting the turn too!
Tenyii Striker_lv2_gold.png

3rd Position - Tenyii Striker

Protagonist of the week! Another melee attack to take the advantage of Tarsa attack boosting buff. Tenyii Striker come with ability SNEAK which allow him to attack enemy as melee even isn't placed in the first position. And as a card which only require 5 mana, it did provide a very good value in term of attack and HP.
Sand Worm_lv3.png

4th Position - Sand Worm

Again, another melee card to take the advantage of Tarsa. Sand worm are one of the melee card with highest attack in the game. Same with Tenyii Striker, Sand Worm also has the ability of SNEAK which allow him to attack the last position of enemy team from any position. He was placed in 4th position in the hope that he would not be taken out too soon, so that he could deal as much as possible damage in the game.
Djinn Apprentice_lv2_gold.png

5th Position - Djinn Apprentice

Djinn Apprentice didn't have any special ability, but it has a pretty decent magic attack with the mana cost of only 5. I choose to have him in the team to provide some attack which could pierce through the enemy armor, in case enemy has a very strong tanker with high armor.
Naga Fire Wizard_lv2_gold.png

Last Position - Naga Fire Wizard

Always put some card which is able to tank in the final position, incase opponent used some card with ability SNEAK. Although Naga Fire Wizard doesn't have very high armor and HP, but her SHIELD would allow her to tank better than monster with mere high HP and armor. While providing defense at the last position, she could also provide armor piecing magic damage like Djinn Apprentice did. In short, playing the role of attacker and defender at the same time.

BATTLE REPLAY

EPILOGUE

Did your strategy work?
What will you try differently next time?

My strategy did work pretty well in the end. Living Lava, Fineas Rage and Naga Fire Wizard did protect the attacker in the middle position very well, even though all tanker has been taking out at the end of battle, but Tenyii Striker and Sand Worm did survived to the end and deal a lot of damage. The sneaking tag team of Tenyii Striker and Sand Worm did also fulfilled their role by taking opponent back liner as well.

I'm quite satisfy with the line up because I had win a higher level team. But while relook into my battle, I did realize my team are quite vulnerable to magic attack. Perhaps I should consider tanker which able to tank magical and physical damage at the same time, for example Grum Flameblade, but require to trade off of better damage from the back lane, since Grum Flameblade would take more mana and far less option would left for me in forming the team.

Do you like TENYII STRIKER?
Why or why not?

Yes, I did like TENYII STRIKER. I always think fire element is a deck that fit melee attack very well, due to their summoner ability are friendly with melee. So whenever I need to battle with fire element, TENYII STRIKER is always in my team as long as mana are sufficient. And with the mana cost of only 5, TENYII STRIKER did had pretty decent stats too!
