RE: Timing

It's the eternal question... why with so many dapps is hive mid-market cap and not bringing in the mainstream faster than any other crypto project, it certainly has the depth of different utility.

Here is something I said to someone else the other day and I feel it applies to this post too as I honestly think it is the answer why hive underperforms. I feel like the biggest detriment for say popular YouTubers is bringing their fans over to 3speak simply because of the mainstream media narrative about the risks of crypto. This translates to all hive dapps and communities to an extent. Fear is why they don't move over to web 3.0 options even when de-monotonized. Fear is the most effective tool of governments and intelligence agencies to shift narratives through media and other outlets to make otherwise compassionate people accept atrocities, this has been seen throughout history. It also applies to disruptive technologies that could genuinely destroy institutional monopolies.

The biggest question I ask myself is how to convince people to let go of that fear?

P.s. I came here from listnerds but my CPT VP is depleted right now but I'm gonna save this excellent post so I can upvote it there tomorrow morning :)

Yeah the majority of crypto influencers are hypocrites. They yap about blockchain and crypto every day, yet refuse to use the projects that are in the space right now...Sad lol

Yeah the majority of crypto influencers are hypocrites.

True dat. One of my favorite crypto YouTubers is crypt0 Omar Bamm. Nut he's just put out a video saying fck crypto I've had enough and I'm leaving because I'm an actor and musician and that's my passion,

Which I respect, but he's put all his content from 2016 onwards on auto publish and it makes me sad because I'd much rather watch him (a talented pianist) play piano on youtube every day and I'd upvote him every time. But seeing these videos where he's going on about how bitcoin has just gone from $600 - $1800 has made me do one thing... unsubscribe.

Youtube is honestly a fckn horrible monopoly of a platform.

He was one of the only influencers that actually used this blockchain too. Damn shame, he was one of the good guys.

Yeah man, I agree that I really did like Omar and his content. He seemed honest and just like someone you'd have a beer with and talk Blockchain and have a blast.

But in the video he put up saying he was giving up crypto because his true passion was music the dude was crying, and I felt for him. I put a comment up on his Youtube basically saying follow ur dream m8, make your career in music if that is what makes you happy.

I hope he does find a place to play piano and get paid for it cause it's a hard gig. One of my friends has been in a band that were in the top 10 in the charts here in the UK and even he struggles sometimes to get gigs playing jazz in hotels in London.
