11 Incredible Ways to Earn in Splinterlands

Hi everyone! This is Ralphmarcuss I made this post for new SPLINTERLANDS players who want to know the different ways to earn in this game.

For starters, SPLINTERLANDS is a trading card play to earn in the HIVE blockchain. In this game, players can level up their cards by combining cards with the same card.

I assume everyone has their account in SPLINTERLANDS and already bought Spellbook, this is one of the prerequisites to proceed.

1. Playing in MODERN or WILD
Since Splinterlands changes the rewards system from DEC to SPS. Now you earn SPS every battle and instead of DEC. For me, this is favorable as SPS is more valuable than DEC.

2. SPS Staking
SPS earned playing are automatically staked in the game. At the time of writing the APR of staking sits at 39.94%. The good thing about Staking SPS is that you're not only earning SPS you also earning Vouchers. This is one of my regrets when SPS is at an all-time high I SOLD all my SPS back when the APR is about 300%. I could earn more SPS and VOUCHERS.

3. VOUCHERS
VOUCHERS are used in-game to avail bonus packs and for promo cards like the Waka Spirit Blade. Vouchers are also used to avail discounts on validator node licenses. What I like about Vouchers token is that they always get burned when you used to avail promos or discounts.

4. TOURNAMENTS
Joining and winning tournaments will earn you more SPS. The good thing is you can join as many tournaments and doesn't require to consume Resource Credits. Depending on the tournament you'll join there is a small amount of entry fee.

5. Daily/Season rewards
Winning a lot and getting more season points gives you more chest. You may earn SPS tokens MERITS, CARDS, and POTIONS. Higher leagues offer better reward chests. Playing in higher leagues gives you a higher chance of getting gold foil cards or SPS, i.e. in the GOLD league you have 43% chance to get cards and x8 token multiplier.

6. Joining GUILD
By joining a guild you can participate in Brawls and earn MERITS to buy in your guild Gladius Cases. Gladius cards are nontransferable but you can burn cards to earn DEC. In a normal battle, you are given a 7% bonus if you are in a guild.

7. RENTING OUT CARDS
Renting cards is one of the features I love in this game for a fraction of DEC you can test out cards to play with. The cards that I don't use I can rent them out and the DEC accumulated can buy more cards that I will use in battle or be rented out again. My current goal for me is to reach 1000 DEC earnings per day. If for some reason you get fed up playing and want to take a break for some time renting out your cards is the way to earn while you are away.

8. SELL CARDS
Cards you earned in quest and season rewards can be sold in the market. Higher the rarity the better and gold foil. You can also hold cards and wait till the cards get higher in price. The price of cards fluctuates depending on the META of the game.

9. HOLD PACKS
Holding packs for the long term may lead to asset appreciation. If you bought ALPHA packs in 2018 for 2 USD after 4 years they can now be bought for 134 USD. UNTAMED packs are bought for 2 USD, now they are 30 USD. CHAOS legion may not reach that high for now but maybe after a few more years may reach 15 USD or more. It's just my prediction. RIFT WATCHER may be a good buy as it only has a 3 million supply.

10. LIQUIDITY POOLS
Participating in liquidity pools can earn you SPS and DEC at the same time. Be cautious of impermanent loss.

11. VALIDATOR NODE
Acquiring a validator node license is not cheap. But having one is a good investment as the node license gives you SPS and vouchers every day. The node license can be converted to a token so you can easily sell it if you want to. Let me give you an example. I bought my license for 1000 USD in presale. Right now it costs 2134 USD. think about selling out tranche 2. The price can shoot up to 3750 USD. Take note only 60,000 nodes are available.

12. LANDS
There is a rumour SPS will be given to land owner soon. THIS IS NOT YET CONFIRMED.
