Are You Up to Armored Up ? An Unexpected Battle | Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets Challenge
Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Battle Mage Secrets Challenge's Session. For this week Battle Challenge, there is armored up ruleset which causes monster is having +2 armor at start of the battle. With back to basic ruleset as addition, i expect my enemy would use magic but he won't. Let's see how the unexpected battle goes !
Battle of The Week
Here is my formation for the battle :
Rules set:
Before we discuss about the formation, here is the rules for this match
Aim True : All attacks are always hit their target.
Back to Basic : All monsters are losing their ability.
Armored Up : All monster having +2 armor at the start of the battle
14 mana cap: low mana cap, need to carefully select monsters
Splinter available : Water, Life, and Death monsters are available.
My Lineup's Explanation :

| 2nd Monster |  | none (back to basic) | another 1 mana monster but he got 3 speed, i put him on 2nd to get the turn ASAP if the tank is eliminated early by high speed damage. |
| 3rd Monster |  | none (back to basic) | 2 mana monster, another melee monster with 3 health, expect to block enemies damage because he got 2 armor as well that makes it into 4. |
| 4th Monster |  | none (back to basic) | magic damager, the hitter that suitable this ruleset, with just 2 mana, makes him really nice to bring, but he only got 1 health, if enemies got rotwell, he will eliminated instantly. |
| 5th Monster |  | none (back to basic) | range attack, with 3 mana he could give 2 range damage, choose him because magic damager with 3 mana only giving 1 damage, and i'm afraid of enemies got owster rotwell as well. |
| 6th Monster |  | none (back to basic) | Same reason with the spider, except he got only 3 health, that's why i put him on last, wth the hope of spider could tank a bit longer while he is attacking |
I would also talk a little about my enemies lane up, but won't too detailed as my lane up, just my point of view in general about his lane up.
Let's see my enemy's line up. Lorna is a very good summoner on this ruleset as well, because while we try to get the blocks out or get past through it with magic, the lorna buff will nerve 1 attack, that's why i think this match will be interesting. Something i didn't expect is there is no magic, even no range monster here, only melee monster that are coming, which is not very good at the back to basic ruleset, because melee can't doing assasination and must waiting to attack from the first position.

On 1t round, both summoners are giving their buff and debuff. Continued by the damage that is given by 4 of my monsters, while enemies having 0 attack due to speed lost. Enemies chicken is eliminated this round
On 2nd round, there is another 4 attack from my monster which saw enemies losing his legendary monster. Their leech is able to hit but only on my monster's armor. It's 6-3 now !

On 3rd round, Another 4 attack is given by my team, which cause the leech is eliminated. Enemies finally eliminate my tank after the snail is hit my tank. 5-2
On 4th round, another 4 tims attack is given by my team, but unable to eliminate the snail. Enemies snail attack my monster as well but only hit the armor.
On 5th round, the snail is eliminated with my 2nd monster, on 6th round, the match is over after the uraeus is eliminated. Victory !
Discuss About Armored Up :
What Should We Get :
Since everybody is having armor as physical barrier, the wisest is using magic damage, especially if there is another ruleset like back to basic that is shown on match above. But you have to prevent another possibility, like owster rotwell summoner that could give back the magic damage to the attacker. If you are going to use physical monster, summoner with -2 armor is the wisest to strip all enemies armor so your monster will not have to hit armor first. The ability to break armor might usefull as well , but it's jut the same like breaking the armor if enemies are only have 2 armor, it's wise if enemies are all having high armor. Void summoner might be usefull as well to nerf enemies magic attack. Last tips is better having as many monster because they are all having 2 armor to protect the team from attackers.
What Should We Avoid:
Since there is so many armor, physical monsters without any armor reduction and not targetting just 1 monster is very bad choice, because you want to eliminate enemies monster as soon as possible. If you spread the damage and with physical damage, you might ended up not eliminating any monster by the time yours is gone.
What would i do next ?
If there is no back to basic ruleset, i wan't to try to use physical assasin squad with the -2 armor debuff earth summoners, because magic monsters are often having low health.
Conclussion
Armored Up is giving physical monsters a barrier, you better using magic and prevent magic enemies as well. If you want to use physical monsters, makes sure to get minus armor debuff to nerf the armored up. Get as many monsters as you got because all of them will having plus +2 armor addition ! Don't ever try to spread the physical damage here (especially when you got no minus armor debuff), because it will takes so much times to eliminate enemies.
