Fab Four With Gladiator | Splinterlands Battle Mage Secret Challenge

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Battle Mage Secrets Challenge's Session. For this week Battle Challenge, there is fab four ruleset that allow only 4 monster on the team, and not just that, there is are you not entertained ruleset that allows gladiator cards to enter the fight. My enemy decides to bring 2 gladius card with famous Quora and Katrelba Gobson, can I win the match ? Let's start this session!

Battle of The Week

Here is my formation for the battle :

Rules set:

Are you not entertained : 1 Gladiator card is allowed to play
Fab Four : Only 4 monsters are able to enter the match for each team
49 mana cap: High mana cap to bring big monsters and the gladiators
Splinter available : All splinters are available except for Dragons

My Lineup's Explanation :

Summonersimage.png+1 melee damage and +1 healthI'm trying to bring the Grum and Chipney, and both of them will have benefit with +1 damage to increase the chance eliminate enemies and gains bloodlust.
Tankerimage.pngBloodlust, Void Armor, Void, Giant KillerVersatile monster to fight against giants and magic damage. Have bloodlust even he is not a gladiator which could get him become even more dangerous.
2nd Monsterimage.pngReach, Bloodlust2nd tanker and hitter with the reach. And yeah he got bloodlust because he is a gladiator card.
3rd Monsterimage.pngShieldHigh magic damage, plus shield to stand against enemies sneak monsters
4th Monsterimage.pngCamouflage, Opportunity, Speed Buff, Affliction4 range damage to aim the weakest enemy. Got speed buff to help the team, and affliction to prevent enemy from healing.

I use Giants since the mana is big enough for just 4 monsters. My enemies trying to put 2 gladiator, but I already anticipating both Quora and Katrelba

At the end of 1st round, there is no one is eliminated, but you can see both enemies front tank and backline tank are left with just 4 health point left. Still 4 vs 4 situation

At the end of 2nd round, my enemy just left with Katrelba gobson after my team eliminate the front and backline tank plus the Grum really use his giant killer to eliminates Quora. Not it's just katrelba Gobson Left, we already know who's gonna win this match, right ?

Discuss About Fab Four :

What Should We Get :
I think it's hugely depend on the mana cap. With just 4 monster, if it's high mana cap that comes out just like my match, then there is very high chance that enemies would use giant monster with more than 10 mana to fill up the lane up. And on this situation, monster with giant killer is having advantage because they damage is doubled against the giant monsters. If it's low mana cap, you can chose between fill all the lane up, or focus on 1 monster with high stats and ability to wipe entire enemy.

What Should We Avoid:

We should avoid using too many low mana monster especially on high mana ruleset, because it would be less effective to have low mana monster with low stats and ability with just 4 monster available. Why waste the mana when we can get more powerfull monster, right ?

What would i do next ?
This would depend on mana cap and the other ruleset, but if the mana is not so high, maybe I would try using 2 martyr to boost the main hitter.

Conclussion

With just 4 monster, it is recommended to fill the lane up with all mana available to get the most powerfull monster. With high mana ruleset just like my match, there is high chance the giant monster would come up, so giant killer is important on this ruleset because the limit of monster means using high mana cap monster is the effective way to get the most for the team.
