Hello guys, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Socmed Challenge's Session. Last week i'm talking about diamond league, and i could finally reached the rating for promoting to champions league. Having a doubt at first, i was finally promoted to champions league for the first time to know how it feels to battle on there and the reward as well. Let's see how it goes !
I was actually prepared to go as high as i could by renting most of cards to compete on champions league. This action cost me 42,000 dec/ day (yeah, i was like not thinking carefully about getting back the money, just try to go as far as i could). I'm curious about the champions league because one of the splinterlands curator comment on my post that the reward could reach 30 SPS. But then i found that the battle is getting harder and harder, i couldn't reach the champions league on my 1st day of playing. It's actually good at first and i'm just 1 Battle left from that champions league with around 72 ecr, but then comes the lose streak and i ended up with less than 60 ecr and stuck on diamond league 1. Then on my 2nd day of play, i could reach the 3700 rating for diamond league requirement but with just around 56 ecr.
For your information, the leaderboard for diamond league is not that thight like another league, when you need to past far from the next league requirement. On diamond league leaderboard, 3700 rating (which is requirement for champions league), could get you on the leaderboard with 10,000 dec as the prize. You can even get 20,000 dec if you could push it a little higher.
At the end of 1st day, i was thinking like, "okay, i guess i will just finish on diamond league leaderboard and grab the prize", but on the start of 2nd day, i changed my mind and goes like, "but the prize won't cover my rental cost, i will go to champions league and grab the sps reward as well trying to climb for the leaderboard. That's a crazy decision because it's my 2nd season to play on diamond league and my 1st try on champions league. But things are not going as the plan, i ended up losing and get back to diamond league, with low ecr so the sps reward is getting fewer. Then i stop my ambition to go climb for champions league leaderboard because people there are really strong. I guess they were all experienced players. So i just take the fact and save my time as well my ecr for my next rent, because there were Indonesian private splinterlands tourney for preparation to the clash with japan team. I ended up on 6th position on that tourney. Didn't think i could go for clash with japan team anyway, because it's quite hard for me to go on sit n go clash. I would prefer anytime matches due to my strict schedule.
My Next Plan
So now i know how the champions league feels, i think it would be better for me to stay on diamond league. I risk my dec to play on champions league last season, and the price is not enough to cover my rent cost. Luckily i got some nice stuff from my unpacking CL packs (see my profile, it's on my giveaway). So my plan is to try getting as minimum rent as possible while trying to chalenge for the leaderboard of diamond league this season. I also thought that it would be more efficient if i played on both format (modern and wild) to get double from leaderboard reward. So now i have to get my modern rating from 0 to diamond league.
A battle replay
As i've mentioned on previous weekly socmed post, interesting thing about Diamond League is I found the challenging difficulty, because i think most of players here is human and not bot such as on lower league. And the cards as well is very competitive, which cause me have to think really hard before submitting on each battle and feel need to watch every single battle on this league. It feel just like i'm playing on tournament. The adrenaline, the taste of sweet victory, and bitter lose with just 1 hit different. I feel the true taste of playing game which i usually don't found in lower league. I highly suggest you to try it :)
Today i would like to share those battles. I only have few replay left, let's see one of it.
Speed are playing important part on this match. Eventough my melee squad are having good chance to win the game, 3 misses attack are able to turn the table and get me lost the game. First 2 misses is when i tried to hit the dampir infiltrator that causes this monster killed my backline monster. My teams should've able to still winning the match, but the misses from golem to eliminate enemies tank cost me the game,especially because my enemy got maxed lv byzantine kitty that could heal their tank.
