Oshanus Can't Survive Against Magic on Five Alive | Splinterlands Weekly Battle Mage Secret Challenge

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Battle Mage Secrets Challenge's Session. For this week Battle Challenge, there is five alive ruleset as the challenge, which only allowed 5 monster to fight on the battlefield. This mean less combination and support we can use, let's see how my battle goes !

Battle of The Week

Here is my formation for the battle :

Rules set:

Armored Up : All monster start with 2 armor addition
Five Alive : Only 5 monster able to fight on the battlefield
39 mana cap: Medium mana cap to bring big enough monsters on five alive
Splinter available : All splinter except for fire and death are available

My Lineup's Explanation :

Summonersimage.png+1 speed, +1 armor, and +1 healthVersatile neutral summoner, as my main summoner with max level to bring highest level monster. The buff is very usefull as well, especially when I tried to combine it with the flee ability.
Tankerimage.pngVoid, Phase, ForcefieldUsefull monster with anti magic ability by reducing enemies magic attack with void and got miss chance with the phase. The forcefield is usefull as well to go against huge hitter.
2nd Monsterimage.pngReach, Blind2nd tanker and hitter with the reach. Got blind to help the team especially the tank to avoid enemies attack
3rd Monsterimage.pngBlast, AfflictionBlasting enemies while preventing them from getting healed
4th Monsterimage.pngOpportunity, PoisonMain hitter with opportunity, 5 melee damage, and poison to eliminate enemies faster
5th Monsterimage.pngProtectGiving 3 magic damage while protecting all allies with 2 armor plus debuff enemies target.

At the end of 1st round, both team are still having all monster stay on the field, but as you can see, my Oshanus hurt so bad even got magic enemies which should be his strenght with the void and phase.

At the end of 2nd round, I lose my oshanus and the squid after squished by enemies magic.

Finally, my team got wiped out after crushed by high magic damage

Discuss About Five Alive :

What Should We Get :
Since the monster is having 1 reduce of ammount, then the mana for each monster could be higher, and this mean monster with strong ability and high mana will be more usefull rather than high ammount just like usual battle. But this not stopped here, because we need to take a look at another ruleset that might change the game. Just like this match where armor addition cause magic damage is having advantage, and my enemies taking those advantage to win the game

What Should We Avoid:

We need to avoid using low mana monster with low stats and ability, because with 1 less monster, more mana can be used for each monster rather than the usual match. And not just that, avoid put monster that having disadvantage for another ruleset that appears.

What would i do next ?
I will focus on the other ruleset and anticipate or taking advantage from it.

Conclussion

On five alive ruleset, we got 1 less monster on the battlefield, so try maxing out the mana for high mana monster that having great stats and ability, and don't forget to take a look at other ruleset if there any. Try taking advantage or anticipate enemy that want to take advantage from those ruleset .
