Splinterlands Weekly Battle Mage Secret Challenge | Martyr and Katie Battle

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Battle Mage Secrets Challenge's Session. For this week Battle Challenge, there is equal opportunity ruleset that gives every card an opportunity ability to attack from any position. This would give major boost for melee monster, but not only that, a chance to trigger the martyr is there as well. Let's see how the battle goes !

Battle of The Week

Here is my formation for the battle :

Rules set:

Equal Opportunity : All monster have opportunity ability
21 mana cap: medium low mana cap, limited combination
Splinter available : All splinters are available

My Lineup's Explanation :

Position	Ability	Strategy
Summoners	+1 armor, bring gladius card	I'm trying to exploit gladius card that having the bloodlust ability, and I think life element is proper one for this mana cap.
Tanker	Regen	Solid monster with decent health and regen ability to waste some attack from enemies.
2nd Monster	Martyr	Important monster to boost captain katie and the tank.
3rd Monster	Snipe, bloodlust	Main monster for this battle with the bloodlust ability
4th Monster	Evade	As decoy to waste enemies attack and protect the Katie from enemies sneak monster.

Solid tank with heal ability, and main hitter with snipe and bloodlust supported both by the martyr is my main idea for this battle. A decoy at the back to help the Katie waste enemies attack.

The battle scene are also explained below:

At the end of 1st round,both martyr are triggered for both team. 3-4 situation for my team at the end of 1st round

At the end of 2nd round, I lost my chaoos agent while my enemy lose it's tank. 2 vs 3 situation and which Katie play first would be the most important thing here

I'm lucky that my Katie play first and this is a decisive turn. 2 vs 2 situation at the end of 3rd round and it's clear who is the winner right ?

Yap it's clear that I won this tight battle !

Discuss About Equal Opportunity :

What Should We Get :
Monster with bloodlust ability is very great at this ruleset as they can easily target weakest enemy from anywhere. Monster with rust is very usefull as well to give the way for main hitter to eliminate enemies. Having protect monster could waste some turn as well for enemies. And don't forget that martyr are very likely to triggered at this ruleset, so chose wisely !

What Should We Avoid:

Don't put powerfull monster with low health because it will be very dangerous that they could get killed first if you don't put many lower health monster as decoy.

What would i do next ?

If there is higher mana cap, equal opportunity is very interesting rules with more combination ahead. Having some demoralize because melee likely appear could be a great idea for me.

Conclussion

With equal opportunity, many possibility is coming. Some buff such as protect is important to protect the team, while debuff like rust and demoralize is important as well. Don't forget martyr will easily triggered here, but mana cap is always limit our option, so chose wisely !
