Hello guys, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge's Session. For this week Battle Challenge, Splinterlands have picked Mycelic Slipsawn as the Weekly Monster, this is one of the must have monster on modern format, let's see how it goes!

Mycelic Slipspawn was first found on the edges of the swamps of Praetoria, in areas where the fetid waters meet with the forests and jungles. It is highly toxic and grows to a substantial size. Death is uncommon for those who touch its fibrous body however, the side effects of its toxins can cause a long list of illnesses and disease, leaving its victims severely debilitated.

When the chaos portal opened and the creeping plague infected the land, the Slipspawn struggled to endure, being completely intolerant to the deadly pandemic. But then Queen Mycelia came, she touched the Slipspawn as she passed it by and it drank from her power, an enduring energy that ran deep and defiantly cast the pestilence of the chaos taint aside. The Slipspawn pulled its roots free from the ground and eagerly danced across the leafy forest floor after her, desperate to follow its saviour and stand by her in the times to come.

General Information About Mycelic Slipspawn

As you can see at picture above, mycelic slipspawn is a rare monster that cost 9 mana, which is not easy to fit on medium low mana. It got 2 matk and increased into 3 at lv 6. It got high health since first level with 10 health, increased to 11 at lv 2, and could go into 12 health at 5th level. It's high health is perfectly fit with his taunt ability, which cause this monster to invite every monster to hit him (excep the front and reach monster). At lv 4, he also got forcefield ability to nerf >5 attack such from sandworm into just 1 damage. Get him allies with triage ability and he will be hard to beat.

60 Mana Cap : High mana cap, suitable for Mycelic Slipspawn that cost high mana.
Splinter available : Water, Earth, Life, and Dragon.

Even my enemy got higher lv summoner and monster, with right strategies, my team could ended up winning the game. Every monster doing it's part right. Myceline Slipspawn as the backline tank combined with Queen Mycelia could help to tank for long enough for the hitter to do their part. Magic damage hurt enemy so much and my team ended up winning the game with 4 monster left

What i like about Angelic Mandarin:

What i like about Angelic Mandarin is he got high health and forcefield that suitable for the backline against high damager monster. He also got pretty high magic damage that suit his CL summoner .

What i don't like about Mycelic Slipspawn :

His mana cost is only suitable for medium-high mana cap, which cause this monster less flexible. He also got no void or shield ability, so he will take full damage from monster with less than 5 monster.

When to Use Mycelic Slipspawn :

I suggest you to play this monster on medium high mana cap when you think enemies will use ultra high damager such as the worms. I also suggest you to get buddy with triage ability to help this monster survive longer.

When to Avoid Mycelic Slipspawn:

It is clear to avoid this monster on low mana cap because you will waste your mana for this monster. I also suggest you not to use this monster on ruleset where magic monster are on disadvantage.

Mycelic Slipspawn has great stats and ability to tank ultra high damage from sneaking, it's also has pretty good damage and it's always a good idea to get him a triage buddy on backline to help him survive longer.
