Hello guys, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge's Session. For this week Battle Challenge, Splinterlands have picked Venari Spellsmith as the theme, so i have to use this monster on the battlefield, let's see how it goes!

There are those who may think the Realm of Silence is a place of deep dark caverns. That could not be further from the truth. It is a region like any other in the Splinterlands that is full of homes, cities, and cultures. There are even universities that specialize in the study of magic, music, and geography. One such underground species that excels in academia are the Venari.

They created the Institute of Application that acts as a center of study for spells and tinkering. Those who wish to become fluent in spellcasting train to become Spellsmiths: masters of creating and using spells. It is through this knowledge they research and experiment with magic in order to unlock new ways to harness mana and the elemental forces.

A Venari Spellsmith is so dedicated to the art of spellcasting that magic itself became a part of them. While they themselves can manipulate magic to damage foes, magic burns through their veins. Upon death the radiating Mana explodes from their bodies, harming everyone around the Venari.

**General Information About Venari Spellsmith **

As you can see at picture above, Venari spellsmith got 4 mana cost, which cause him to be able to play on little league ruleset as well, and because he is a neutral monster, he could played with every summoners as long as there is no restriction on using neutral monster. He got 1 magic attack up to lv 5, then got 1 more magic damage on lv 6. He got dispel ability that are usefull when you played on high tier league where enemies used to have some buff for their monster. At lv 4, this monster given the amplify effect which will give your monster with magic reflect and thorn even more damage to enemies. And at his max lv, he got redemption which i think is powerfull on low mana ruleset.

Before we discuss about the formation, here is the rules for this match
Equal Opportunity : All monster have the opportunity ability.
Stampede: Trample could trigger multipple times.
34 Mana Cap : Medium mana to use,
Splinter available : Water, Earth, and Death only.

It's a bit scary because enemy's got the diemonshark that have the trample and the enrage ability. But the fact that deeplurker killed my monstread instead of diemonshark caused him not getting any trample on this match. My enemy are not ready for my magic attack, maybe because he tought that opportunity is for melee monster to hit from anywere, and that let my monster to spam high magic damage and destroyed enemies team. A victory for my team.

What i like about Venari Spellsmith:

What i like about Venari Spellsmith is the flexibility of this monster, it's because he is on neutral element, so we could use him with any splinter that are available. He also got low mana cost and common rarity, so we could easily fit him with the team even on low mana cap and little league ruleset. His ability to amplify damage from thorn and magic reflect are usefull as well.

What i don't like about Venari Spellsmith :

Low attack, speed, and health. I know he only cost 4 mana, but i think there were many monster that have a better stats and ability than this monster.

When to Use Venari Spellsmith :

I suggest you to use this monster when you think enemies will play with many buff for their monster, and for ruleset when you only got low mana cap, or little league ruleset. This monster could be useful as well on no melee ruleset because his magic type of attack.

When to Avoid Venari Spellsmith :

I don't recommend you to use this monster for high mana cap situation, because his stats and ability below average. You can consider other monster to fill your team..

Venari Spellsmith is a very flexible monster because he is on neutral element, have low mana cost, and common rarity that allows him to play on most ruleset. But he got stats and ability that below average, so we have to think carefully before use this monster, especially on high mana cap where you could find many better monster.
