Steps To

Purchase Rebellion From Splinterlands

• Own A Splinterlands account
• Sign in to the Splinterlands site
• Go to Shop Section
• Click On "Packs" tab
• Select Number Of Packs
• Apply Vouchers for discount (if applicable)

Your Splinterlands account will be your Hive Blockchain profile name. This means you can use your Splinterlands account name on the Hive Blockchain to blog, play other games and any other interaction that the Hive Blockchain supplies its users. Vouchers are not needed but at present time are highly encouraged to use. They give up to a 20% discount on Rebellion packs purchased directly from the Splinterlands site. One way to get your hands on some vouchers is to be staking the SPS token. But what if you are new to Splinteralands and don't have any Vouchers or perhaps you just want more? Easy peasy, simply go to one of the many Hive Dex's that has them for trade. Currently (11/26/2023) they are trading for roughly $0.03 USD. More than worth the cost of purchase for the discount offered. The Splinterlands site also gives discounts on bulk purchases. These bulk purchases must be in a single transaction and are as follows: (1) Purchase at least 100 Booster Packs for a 5% booster pack bonus. What are they & Why Use Them?

Good questions :) Secondary markets are places in which gamers/traders and any interested party can purchase Splinterland assets (other assets as well) from resellers/investors and other gamers. Secondary markets often have Splinterland assets that are out of print and no-longer sold from the official Splinterlands webpage. They also often have any current edition of booster packs for sale. This includes the Rebellion set so if you can't wait until General Sale to get your hands on some Rebellion Booster Packs one could head on over to Hive-Engine or TribalDex (to name a few) and purchase Rebellion packs from the gamers/traders who have them listed for trade. Keep in mind the price on secondary markets is the price you pay. There are no discounts for using Vouchers as they can't be used on secondary markets. There are also no bulk buy purchase discounts nor will your purchase qualify for on-going airdrops Splinterlands holds for those who purchase packs directly from their main site. Why Purchase Rebellion?

The Rebellion set will introduce four new abilities:
(And Dual-element Summoners)

• Armored Strike
• Corrosive Ward
• Flank
• Lookout

Armored Strike:

Any unit with this ability gains an ADDITIONAL Melee attack using its Armor stat. This allows characters to improvise with deadly force, using their gauntlets, shields, helmets, or perhaps physical attributes (spikes, hard shells, etc) as weapons!

Corrosive Ward:

When hit with a Melee attack, a unit with this ability does 2 damage to the attacker's Armor AND reduces the max Armor of the attacker by 2. This is the nemesis to the Repair ability. You can't Repair something that's been melted into acidic goo! Note that this only affects units with Armor.

Flank:

If the unit with this ability is in the first position, then the unit in the second position gains the Reach ability. Prepare to leverage positioning and the element of surprise. Now your first two units can work together to bring down the enemy tank!

Lookout:

A unit with this ability results in adjacent allies taking one less damage from attackers with Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity. Give your team a heads-up when stalkers approach from the shadows. It's always a good idea to have a Lookout!

Dual-Element Summoners

Not all Summoners in the Rebellion set will be dual-element. The ones that are will have the ability to call upon monsters from two elements. This is a feature that thus far is a unique ability only found within the Rebellion set of NFT's"
